The Sheriff Mack Show: J6 hearing was one of the greatest miscarriages of justice ever witnessed – Brighteon.TV
By Kevin Hughes // Dec 08, 2023

Sheriff Richard Mack has described the hearing on the Jan. 6 Capitol riot as one of the greatest miscarriages of justice.

"This farce known as the Jan. 6 hearing was absolutely one of the greatest miscarriages of justice that Martin Luther King Jr. and the civil rights movement fought to stop – and that is to have people who are prejudiced against you be on a jury," he said during the Dec. 5 episode of "The Sheriff Mack Show" on Brighteon.TV.

"They picked all of [former President Donald] Trump's most ardent enemies to be on that supposed Jan. 6 hearing jury to condemn him. [That] was all they were set to do."

Program co-host Sam Bushman noted that the rhetoric against Trump has intensified. The former president is now in the battle for his life, with the issue of him being dubbed the lead insurrectionist of the J6 riot being one of them.

Bushman added that according to the conclusion of the judge presiding the J6 trial, the prosecutors had already given the written transcripts of the interviews. The magistrate also concluded that Trump's attorneys have not demonstrated how footage of that same information and conversations can be relative to his defense. Bushman, the CEO and national director of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers of America (CSPOA), claimed that one of the biggest reasons the judge won't permit Trump to review J6 footage is because the House J6 Select Subcommittee committee got rid of all the tapes.

Mack agreed, noting that attorneys don't have to prove that these tapes of Jan. 6 have anything to do with exculpatory evidence for Trump. Doing so means they would have to go through it first and then find everything – an endeavor that could take months. Mack continued that this would lead to the trial's postponement, a development the presiding judge does not want to happen.

Mack: J6 footage is key to proving Trump's innocence in court

Bushman also noted that Trump made a bid to see the House's Jan. 6 records. In response, Mack stressed that J6 footage is key to Trump's trial. All tapes would be required to be turned over to Trump's legal team before anything else as the defense has a right to look at what happened first.

The Democrats have already said Trump is an insurrectionist and he cannot get the J6 tapes. However, Trump is adamant on proving his innocence, citing that the videos will attest to this.

"The judge got it backwards. You don't say, 'Prove to me, attorneys, that any of the tapes will help your client before I allow you to have them.' They get to have all of that; it's required by law," said Mack.

"Those attorneys can have anything and everything to do with Jan. 6, and for the judge to say that is absolutely asinine. It's obvious that the judge is prejudiced [and] that they should be demanding that he recuse himself, and then it's going to end up in a mistrial. This is just a joke."

Mack continued that the presiding judge violated the Seventh Amendment, which guarantees the right of trial by jury. According to the Bill of Rights, Americans are guaranteed a jury trial in both civil and criminal matters. He expressed hope that Trump's legal team will take things to the Supreme Court, and that the high court will uphold the former president's rights guaranteed under the Seventh Amendment.

Bushman ultimately noted that the American justice system is getting worse. Given this, he stressed the need for Americans to ask questions – such as whether the justice system in the country is still working.
