Israel warns Hamas “sleeper cells” could be activated to launch terror attacks across Europe this Christmas
By Arsenio Toledo // Dec 11, 2023

Undercover Hamas networks operating across Europe could be activated to carry out terror attacks all over the continent this Christmas.

This is according to the Israeli government, which sent a letter to around 20 European leaders warning them of possible Hamas sleeper cells in their countries.

According to the letter, sent to European leaders by the Israeli Ministry of Diaspora Affairs, Hamas allegedly has a "complex network of hatred operating in many countries, including Western and highly democratic ones." (Related: Israel KNEW about Hamas' attack plan more than a year before Oct. 7 massacre but failed to act on it.)

The Israelis further warned that Hamas operatives and their sympathizers all over Europe are active and alleged that their activity "has already yielded results and produced consequences."

"Weeks have passed since the barbarism that Hamas committed against infants, children, the elderly and thousands of Israeli citizens," said Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli, a member of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's party. "This is not the time for ambiguity. I want to clarify this unequivocally. Hamas has proven that their goal is to kill Jews everywhere."

"Unfortunately, Hamas' bloodlust is not limited to Israel and Jews but also extends to Europe and Christians," said Chikli. "I want to remind you that, in the past, Hamas members expressed the Islamic intention to conquer Europe."

The Diaspora Affairs Ministry's letter was sent to leaders in Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden and the United Kingdom, and to representatives of the European Union.

Hamas allegedly infiltrating humanitarian organizations

According to Tzur Bar-Oz, the Diaspora Affairs Ministry's head of research, Hamas has allegedly been operating with covert agents all over the world for years, with many of these agents successfully infiltrating humanitarian organizations and diverting aid donations to the pockets of Hamas.

"This phenomenon must be uprooted and eradicated as soon as possible," said Bar-Oz. "This activity has already yielded results and produced consequences."

As evidence of Hamas's alleged activities all over the world, Chikli's ministry alleged that calls for violence against Jews worldwide have increased by as much as 120 percent since Oct. 7.

Furthermore, Chikli's appeal also included alleged evidence of Hamas activities, including social media posts supposedly praising Hamas.

One example included the activities of Mohammed Ahmed Hanon, a resident of Italy and head of the non-profit organization, the Charity Association for Palestinian Support. This charity is supposedly a member of the Union of Good, an umbrella organization of dozens of groups all over the world that allegedly act as charities and humanitarian organizations but, according to Israel, is just a front for Hamas to receive money to purchase weapons.

Another person Israel tagged as a Hamas supporter is Amin Abu Rashad, who was arrested earlier this year for allegedly transferring millions of euros from Europe to Hamas through other charitable organizations.

In Canada, Israel claims that Palestinian-Canadian activist Khaled Barakat is also a terrorist along with his organization, the Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network. Israel claims Samidoun is merely a front organization for the People's Front for the Liberation of Palestine, an armed group active in Gaza and the West Bank. Samidoun supposedly assists Palestinian political prisoners, but Israel claims it is an organization that provides legitimacy to Palestinian armed groups.

"We hope that the leaders of the countries understand what Hamas is," claimed Bar-Oz. "And that these are extreme people who pose a threat to citizens worldwide, not just Jews and not just in Israel. We are already seeing a response from certain countries on the ground."
