Democrats and “entrenched interests” want Trump gone, acting like they already knew the outcome of the election
By Arsenio Toledo // Dec 03, 2020

In a pre-recorded speech, President Donald Trump said that Democrats and other "entrenched interests" do not want him to remain as president, and therefore allowed massive voter fraud to happen across the United States to make sure that he lost.

"This may be the most important speech I've ever made," said Trump in his speech, which he posted on his social media channels. "I want to provide an update on our ongoing efforts to expose the tremendous voter fraud and irregularities which took place during the ridiculously long Nov. 3rd elections."

Trump said that Democrats and their nominee, former vice president Joe Biden, were both "acting like they already knew what the outcome was going to be."

"It was all very, very strange," he noted, speaking of the low profile Biden assumed on the campaign trail, implying that the Democratic nominee didn't need to campaign as hard as he did. Trump said he was warned that Biden may have just been "hiding in his basement" during the pandemic.

Trump has consistently argued that massive voter fraud occurred in several battleground states, which allowed Biden to gain a lead over the president. He also claims that mainstream media outlets aided this effort by prematurely calling the race for the Democrats. (Related: Attorney Lin Wood, patriot group, call on Trump to use wartime executive powers like Lincoln did and order new, fair elections under military authority.)

Trump has also argued that investigations need to uncover how many illegal ballots there are, so that only "legal votes" will be counted. If this is done, the president believes that he will then be proclaimed the rightful winner of the election.

Trump's campaign team has filed legal challenges in key states, such as Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia and Arizona. Two of his top lawyers, Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis, have already appeared in front of several state legislatures to personally contest the results and to compel them to reassert their constitutional power to send their own Republican electors to the Electoral College.

Giuliani and Ellis have been arguing that the Constitution allows legislators to send their own electors in case of massive election fraud, so that the real outcome of the election can be salvaged.

Trump claims Constitution and electoral system are "under siege"

During Trump's address, he also claimed that the country's democratic institutions are under attack.

"As president, I have no higher duty than to defend the laws and the Constitution of the United States," said Trump. "That is why I am determined to protect our election system, which is now under coordinated assault and siege."

Trump further argued that the Democrats, using the global pandemic as a pretext, drastically changed voting procedures to allow massive mail-in voting. They then used absentee ballots to steal the election. Several judges in Minnesota and Pennsylvania have ruled that these changes violated the Constitution.

"A full forensic audit is required to ensure that only legal ballots from lawfully registered voters that were properly cast are included," said Trump.

"The reason for this is clear. They were not verifying signatures because they know the ballots have not been filled out by the voters in whose names they were cast."

Trump said that over "tens of thousands" of mail-in ballots had fraudulent signatures, and that the only way to figure out which votes are valid is to carry out a full review of all ballot envelopes, which contain the signatures.

Trump said that a "systemic analysis" is needed. He did not elaborate on which states need to carry out this full audit.

"It's about the signature," he said, "and if they're on the envelopes, we can only review the envelopes. And that will tell us everything. This is the absolute minimum we should expect."

Trump ended his speech by saying that his bid to find and root out all instances of voter fraud in the election is not just about his campaign and his bid to become the president. Rather, it is about safeguarding the country's election system.

He warned that if the instances of voter irregularities aren't dealt with immediately, Americans might not have a free country anymore.

Neither Biden nor his campaign has responded to requests for comments regarding Trump's speech.
