One, the ‘mainstream media’ stopped talking about the massive amounts of money and inappropriate foreign connections his son, Hunter Biden, made while dad was vice president under the most corrupt man we’ve ever elected to the Oval Office, Barack Obama.
And two, that Biden is a ‘moderate.’
The first thing is obvious: The mainstream media is the propaganda wing of the Democratic Party, so of course they’re not going to continue reporting on Hunter (and Joe) Biden’s financial connections to foreign governments, even if one of those governments is Communist China, a near-peer competitor and potential future enemy, and even if that same government could use the financial ties as leverage over a President Biden.
The second isn’t so obvious — at least to many Americans because they don’t pay much attention to the political shenanigans in Washington.
Biden is no longer a ‘moderate,’ if he ever was one, because the Democratic Party is no longer pro-American and ‘moderate.’ The party has been hijacked by Bernie Sanders and AOC socialists and now resembles the political movements and ideologies that run crap-hole banana republics like Cuba and Venezuela.
The former VP and long-serving senator from Delaware is taking his marching orders from the hard-left wing of his party because he knows he needs them if he’s going to win. He’ll already have Americans who vote “D” no matter what, but if he doesn’t placate the growing left-wing extremist faction, he’ll lose for sure.
So he’s planning on being their conduit to destroy our country from within, just like old Soviet leaders predicted would happen one day.
How? By disrespecting and disregarding the Constitution.
Once upon a time, Biden was against packing the Supreme Court with like-minded justices, for example. He called it “a bonehead idea” in 1983 during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing. (Related: Cognitively impaired Biden refuses to release names of his Supreme Court nominees.)
“President Roosevelt clearly had the right to send to the United States Senate and the United States Congress a proposal to pack the court. It was totally within his right to do that. He violated no law. He was legalistically, absolutely correct,” Biden, then 40, told the committee. “But it was a bonehead idea. It was a terrible, terrible mistake to make. And it put in question, if for an entire decade, the independence of the most-significant body … in this country, the Supreme Court of the United States of America.”
Biden doesn’t feel that way anymore, apparently, because now he’s actively entertaining the notion — because that’s what the hard-left ‘progressives’ who are really running his campaign want.
David Harsanyi at Real Clear Politics explains:
Joe Biden says, "You'll know my opinion on court-packing when the election is over." To this point, Biden hasn't offered any position on court-packing, one of the gravest threats to the constitutional order in modern American history. Whether he is too scared of offending a significant faction of his party or he believes it's an idea worth considering, his silence is a reflection of a dangerous shift on the left.
Progressives, of course, have a point. If the Supreme Court adheres to even the most rudimentary constitutional limits on state power, rather than surrendering to the impulses of majoritarian politics, it's going to be a huge impediment to their agenda. Indeed, they have the same motivation as President Franklin Roosevelt had when he attempted to expand the Court in 1937: One-party rule.
And let’s not ever forget that Biden is now refusing to tell us whether he will or won’t pack the court (with left-wing judicial activists, turning the Judiciary into a super-legislature, something it was never intended to be).
By the way, this is in addition to the fact that he claims President Trump’s nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to succeed the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg — and the GOP-controlled Senate’s consideration of her — unconstitutional.
Biden isn’t just a train wreck of a presidential candidate. He is a clear and present danger to the survival of our country as founded.
