There are several takeaways from the election chaos that occurred around the country — in California, Arizona, Georgia, and especially Florida — last fall, but two of them are more important than all the others.
For one, it proves beyond any doubt that allowing the Democratic Left to gerrymander with election laws via sympathetic courts for years is finally paying off for the party of the donkey; and two, we saw a ‘dry run’ of sorts playing out ahead of the 2020 elections, should the Democratic candidate once again come up short against POTUS Donald Trump.
U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., said as much in an interview with Breitbart News’ editor-in-chief Alex Barlow, noting that Democrats and Democratic operatives are “stress-testing the integrity of our election system” in order to design a “road-map on how to steal the election from Donald Trump” in two years.
Regarding voting recounts in his home state, Gaetz — a member of the House Freedom Caucus — said that state “law requires certain reporting and transparency to occur regarding who voted, when they voted, and by what means they voted.
“That transparency isn’t just to make us feel better, it’s the kryptonite to fraud, because if we know how people are voting you’re able to triangulate against any of the fraudsters that would cast the illegal ballots,” he added.
Gaetz singled out Broward County Elections Supervisor Brenda Snipes in particular — for her current actions and for those deemed illegal in prior elections.
He said she “has just decided there are certain things she’s not going to tell us and wasn’t going to tell us. So we had to go to court, and the courts ruled that the supervisor of elections violated the Florida Constitution by standing in the way of public access.”
However, Snipes and other election officials in Broward and Palm Beach counties — both Democratic strongholds — appear to have simply ignored court rulings that ordered them to turn over ballots last week.
‘Road map for 2020’
“What’s most concerning is that between election day and now, over 80,000 ballots have just been like spoken into existence,” Gaetz told Barlow. “They weren’t acknowledged to even exist on election night, and then lo and behold, the Democrats needed more votes to close gaps, and more ballots continued to be found.
“Hell, I think they’re finding votes of (former Vice President) Al Gore down in Broward County,” he said, referencing the narrow victory of George W. Bush over Gore in the state that handed him the presidency.
What Democrats are doing is clear, he noted. They’re designing a way to “steal” the presidential election in 2020. (Related: Two OBAMA-appointed judges rule in favor of Stacy Abrams, putting her closer to stealing election.)
“What should concern all Americans is that we’ve got like 80,000 ballots that have no chain of custody, no real record of how they were voted or where they came from, and my concern is, while I think Ron DeSantis and Rick Scott are outside the margin of fraud, if the Democrats are able to learn now what techniques work and don’t work, what transparency laws are going to be followed and which ones aren’t, then it gives them a road-map on how to steal the election from Donald Trump in 2020,” he said.
DeSantis, a former congressman, defeated Democratic gubernatorial candidate and Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum convincingly enough on election day that Gillum initially conceded, though he has now renounced his concession. Gov. Scott, meanwhile, defeated Democratic incumbent U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson by less of a margin, but one that was still high enough to be convincing.
Suddenly, in two Democratic strongholds, more ballots were ‘discovered’ by corrupt local officials and of course, as Democrats are demanding, “All votes must be counted.”
“I think what they’re doing is testing what they can get away with. … My concern is that those tactics are being developed,” Gaetz told Barlow. “The goal here is not to count every vote [or] make sure everyone’s voice is heard. The goal for the Democrats is to win the election.”
It’s time for Republicans to “take the gloves off and fight like they do,” he added.
