(Trump.news) Amid calls for presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald J. Trump to tone down his rhetoric and act more “presidential,” Leftist Democrats and their allies in the media continue to demonstrate why Trump and much of the American electorate should continue to ignore them and render them politically, culturally and socially irrelevant.
On Monday, the Texas Tribune reported that a U.S. congressman few people outside of his tiny south Texas district have ever heard of, sent a vulgar and, some could say threatening, letter to the man who very well could be the next president of the United States. Ironically, it was filled with the very same kind of hateful, incendiary rhetoric he accuses Trump of using.
U.S. Rep. Filemon Vela, a Democrat, in what was described by the Tribune as “a lengthy missive,” voiced his displeasure over Trump’s campaign promise to “build a wall” between the U.S. and Mexico, as well as Trump’s derision for U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel, who is overseeing litigation regarding Trump University (Trump has questioned Curiel’s capacity for fairness based on his Mexican heritage; it turns out that Curiel, though many of his decisions have been fair, does have ties to Latino nationalist group La Raza).
“While you would build more and bigger walls on the U.S.-Mexico border, I would tear the existing wall to pieces,” Vela wrote. “Why any modern-thinking person would ever believe that building a wall along the border of a neighboring country, which is both our ally and one of our largest trading partners, is frankly astounding and asinine.”
“Mr. Trump, you’re a racist and you can take your border wall and shove it up your ass,” he further noted.
If a sitting U.S. congressman who happened to have an “R” behind his or her name would have used that kind of verbiage against, say, Hillary Clinton, the outrage would never die down and we’d be reminded of this congressman’s felonious faux pas ad nauseum until time came to an end.
But because it was a Democrat of Hispanic descent who directed such ire towards Trump, that’s okay to those same hypocrites who like to excoriate Trump every time he opens his mouth.
Well, there is no other way to answer Vela other than to remind him of a couple of realities – namely, that he is an insignificant, bitter little man who, were his corner of the world not so important to border security, would be even less significant.
Here’s the thing, congressman: You can bellow and posture to MSNBC and all the other lib outlets until you’re blue in the face, but the cold reality is, if Trump wins in November, the wall will be built. And there’s nothing you can do about it.
You see, the law mandating a border fence has already been passed, and it happened before you managed to fool enough voters into thinking you could adequately represent them in Washington, D.C. (with the support of one Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., by the way). Democrats, however, who are used to flouting U.S. law (as your party’s presidential nominee demonstrates) blocked funding for the fence. Trump, with a GOP Congress, looks set to re-fund it, though he has also vowed to find a way to make Mexico pay for it.
But these are details. The overarching theme of Democratic, Left-wing nastiness directed at Donald Trump is the bigger issue. And with every passing day Democrats and their allies in the legacy media prove they can take hypocrisy to new highs as they prove they are simply not fit to govern the greatest nation on earth. Only a Democrat equates “border security” in a time of international terrorism with “racism.” Only a Democrat uses hatefulness and narrow-mindedness to complain about hatefulness and narrow-mindedness.
Vela’s problem with Trump isn’t Trump’s demeanor, per se, it is Trump’s brash confidence and assuredness, along with the candidate’s refusal to be intimidated by congressional punks and Left-wing bomb throwers. Trump’s mantra all along has been, “Bring it,” and that intimidates little, unaccomplished men like Vela. So they lash out at him from a position of safety, knowing that in the Leftist cesspool they inhabit they are beyond reach.
