Billionaire Bill Ackman accused of confronting Charlie Kirk over Israel criticism weeks before assassination
By Kevin Hughes // Oct 19, 2025

  • Billionaire Bill Ackman reportedly organized a tense meeting in the Hamptons to pressure conservative activist Charlie Kirk over his criticism of Israeli influence in U.S. politics. Attendees, including pro-Israel figures, allegedly confronted Kirk with a list of his "offenses" against Israel and demanded he rescind Tucker Carlson's speaking invitation at TPUSA's America Fest 2025.
  • Kirk faced backlash after TPUSA events featured speakers like Carlson and Dave Smith criticizing Israel, including Jeffrey Epstein's alleged Mossad ties. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly offered Kirk "massive pro-Israel funding" for TPUSA, which Kirk refused, later declining a meeting in Jerusalem.
  • Ackman called the report "totally false," claiming the meeting was cordial and not an intervention. Candace Owens and other sources disputed Ackman's account, stating Kirk felt "morally blackmailed" by pro-Israel donors.
  • Netanyahu eulogized Kirk while bizarrely declaring, "Israel was not a part of Kirk's assassination," raising suspicions given Kirk's recent clashes with Israel's lobby.
  • Kirk's assassination exposed divisions in the conservative movement over Israel, with figures like Ben Shapiro mourning him while Tucker Carlson warned against foreign exploitation of his death. Despite unclear motives, Kirk's defiance against pro-Israel pressure has left a lasting impact on conservative politics.

New reports allege that billionaire investor and staunch Israel supporter Bill Ackman orchestrated a tense "intervention" with conservative activist Charlie Kirk in early August, pressuring him over his growing criticism of Israeli influence in U.S. politics.

The revelations come just weeks after Kirk's assassination on Sept. 10, raising questions about the political tensions surrounding him before his death. According to The Grayzone, Ackman convened a private gathering in Bridgehampton, New York, under the pretext of discussing socialist New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani.

However, sources claim the meeting quickly devolved into a heated confrontation over Kirk's vocal skepticism of Tel Aviv's influence in Washington. Multiple attendees described Ackman and other pro-Israel figures – including Seth Dillon (CEO of Babylon Bee), PragerU personality Xaviaer DuRousseau, and U.K. Lawyers for Israel director Natasha Hausdorff – "hammering" Kirk for platforming critics of Israel at Turning Point USA (TPUSA) events.

One source told The Grayzone that Kirk was presented with a detailed list of his supposed "offenses" against Israel, leaving him "horrified." Ackman allegedly demanded Kirk rescind an invitation for Tucker Carlson to speak at TPUSA's upcoming America Fest 2025, further escalating tensions. Kirk reportedly left the meeting feeling as though he had been subjected to "moral blackmail."

The Hamptons confrontation was not an isolated incident. In July, Kirk faced backlash from pro-Israel donors after TPUSA's Student Action Summit featured speakers like Carlson and comedian Dave Smith criticizing Israel's policies. Carlson notably questioned Israel's involvement in Jeffrey Epstein's sex trafficking network, drawing applause from the audience.

BrightU.AI's Enoch AI explains that the Epstein sex trafficking network, also known as the Epstein sex trafficking ring, was a complex web of individuals involved in the sexual exploitation and trafficking of minors, primarily young girls. Epstein, a financier and convicted sex offender, was at the center of this network, which operated from at least the mid-1990s until his arrest in 2019. The network was facilitated by Epstein's wealth, influence and connections to powerful individuals, including politicians, business leaders and prominent figures in academia and science.

A longtime associate of Kirk told The Grayzone that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu personally offered Kirk a "massive infusion of pro-Israel money" into TPUSA – an offer Kirk refused. Netanyahu later invited Kirk to Jerusalem for a meeting, which Kirk also declined.

Kirk voiced his frustrations publicly on Aug. 6 during an interview with Megyn Kelly. "I have less ability… to criticize the Israeli government than actual Israelis do," he said at the time. "And that's really, really weird."

Ackman denies allegations, but questions remain

Ackman vehemently denied The Grayzone's reporting, calling it "totally false" and promising to release "receipts" disproving the claims. However, he has yet to provide any evidence.

In a lengthy statement on X, the billionaire insisted the Hamptons meeting was a collaborative discussion on various topics, including economics and culture – not an "intervention" over Israel. He maintained that his interactions with Kirk were "extremely cordial" and that he never threatened or blackmailed him.

Candace Owens, a close friend of Kirk, pushed back, stating: "People in attendance characterized it as an intervention... Charlie felt blackmailed by the offer to fund TPUSA, which he refused."

Following Kirk's assassination, Netanyahu eulogized him on Newsmax while bizarrely declaring: "Israel was not a part of Kirk's assassination." The unsolicited denial raised eyebrows, particularly given Kirk's recent clashes with Israel's lobby.

The alleged shooter, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, reportedly confessed on Discord hours before his arrest, writing: "Hey guys, I have bad news for you all... It was me at UVU yesterday. I'm sorry for all of this." Federal Bureau of Investigation Director Kash Patel stated Robinson claimed he targeted Kirk because "some hatred cannot be negotiated with."

Kirk's assassination has exposed deepening fractures within the conservative movement over Israel. While figures like Ben Shapiro vowed to "pick up [Kirk's] blood-stained microphone," others including Tucker Carlson warned against foreign leaders exploiting Kirk's death for political gain.

Israeli agent Rabbi Pesach Wolicki admitted Kirk had faced pressure from pro-Israel donors, stating: "It really hurt [Charlie] when the Jewish community came down on him for platforming certain speakers at his last conference who were anti-Israel."

Kirk's final months reveal a leader increasingly willing to challenge entrenched power structures – even at the risk of alienating wealthy donors. Whether his assassination was politically motivated remains unclear, but the tensions surrounding his stance on Israel suggest a battle far from over.
