Leftists want Trump ARRESTED for helping Americans pay for groceries that became MORE EXPENSIVE under Biden-Harris admin
By Ramon Tomey // Sep 29, 2024

Former President Donald Trump's helping Americans pay for groceries that became more expensive under the Biden-Harris administration has triggered leftists diagnosed with Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS), who have now called for his arrest.

Breitbart News recounted that on Sept. 23, Trump visited the Sprankles grocery store in Kittanning, Pennsylvania. While at the checkout stand, the former president gave a mother there $100 for her grocery bill.

"Here, it's going to go down a little bit. It just went down a hundred bucks," Trump told the mother, who thanked the real estate mogul for his gesture. "We'll do that for you from the White House," he added, before turning to the mother's children and complimenting them.

According to Modernity News, the mother wasn't the only one who received a gift as other shoppers at Sprankles also received $100 bills from Trump.

"He told them he'd effectively do the same when in the White House again with his economic policy of keeping taxes low, reducing business regulations and stimulating domestic energy production to lower costs," said the outlet's Steve Watson. "But worse still, TDS-suffering haters couldn't handle footage of the bad orange man helping everyday Americans out. They want federal charges brought against him again."

Ron Filipkowski, editor-in-chief of the liberal MeidasNews outlet, wrote on X that "Trump is now handing out cash to voters." Radio journalist Kai Ryssdal agreed, replying: "I'm reasonably sure that's a federal crime."

User @tennismd7 tried to justify that Trump's assistance to shoppers was a crime, even citing ChatGPT. The chatbot responded to the user's prompt that the former president was guilty of "vote buying" – giving voters "cash or any other form of compensation in exchange for their votes."

But more level-headed users on X shot down the claims, with user @QuickFxVonhobsn pointing out that Trump did not tell the shoppers at Sprankles to vote for him. "Where did Trump say 'Vote for me and I'll give you this money for groceries?' There was no agreement, implied or otherwise," the X user replied.

Trump vows to make America AFFORDABLE again if elected

Trump's no-strings-attached assistance of $100 to shoppers burdened by inflation, as seen during his Sept. 23 visit to the Sprankles grocery, appears to be part of his promise last month to make America affordable again if he wins in November.

He made this vow during an Aug. 15 speech outside the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey. The real estate mogul touched on the effects of food inflation on Americans while standing next to a table with grocery products like coffee, cereal, bagels and bacon. According to him, average Americans have to face severely high prices on normal expenditures.

"Grocery prices have skyrocketed," said Trump. "We will stop inflation. We will make America affordable again." (Related: Trump vows to make America AFFORDABLE again in New Jersey speech.)

The former president then took questions from the media after his speech. One reporter asked about Vice President Kamala Harris' plan to have the federal government prevent price gouging. Trump answered by saying it "probably can't [be done] legally" and warned that the move could have unintended consequences.

"She wants price controls – and if they worked, I'd go along with them too. But they don't work; they actually have the exact opposite impact and effect," he continued, mentioning that such price controls cause "food shortages, rationing, hunger [and] dramatically more inflation."

Unfortunately, Trump's promise to make America affordable again means nothing to leftists with TDS who wish to see the former president behind bars no matter what. This led one user on X to chastise Trump's haters.

"He always does that, though – nothing new," user @FranDHexe wrote. "He's a billionaire who hands out cash to honest working folk. You're mad [because] it goes against the 'Orange Man Bad' narrative."
