According to the YouGov survey, which involved 1,636 adults, the 2024 presidential race is setting the stage for a highly competitive election with both candidates tied with same percentage of support.
The survey conducted from Sept. 14 to 18 also asked the respondents which family is "more corrupt." Based on the results, 41 percent of respondents pointed to Trump and his family, while 38 percent believed in the Biden family crimes. But this actually marked an improvement for Trump as 46 percent of respondents considered his family more corrupt in an August survey, while only 36 percent held that view regarding Biden's family that month.
Moreover, the approval rating of Biden stands at 38 percent, slightly above its all-time low of 35 percent recorded in August 2022. But only 34 percent of Americans approved of the way Biden handles the economy. (Related: Nearly half of all Americans doing worse under Biden according to major new survey.)
For over a short period of time, the political landscape has undergone a substantial transformation compared to the previous poll conducted in August. Based on the previous poll, Biden had a slight edge over Trump, with the incumbent president polling at 47 percent compared to Trump's 41 percent.
These results and shifts in polls happened following questions surrounding the age of Biden and the impeachment inquiry of the GOP against him.

The survey results also show that 77 percent of voters consider Biden's age (80 years old) as a problem, while 64 percent hold the same sentiment for Trump. The respondents are also less likely to see Biden as more capable of serving another term, with only 27 percent of the respondents confident in his abilities.
This result poses a similar outcome to the survey conducted by the Daily Mail and JL Partners in June featuring 1,000 American voters. Back then, 71 percent of the respondents said Biden was too old to spend another four years in the White House, while 14 percent said he should run for a second term.
"These statistics highlight a growing sentiment among the electorate that Biden's age may hinder his ability to lead effectively for another four years," the Mail noted.
James Johnson from JL Partners also gave his comments on the results of the survey and how this result could affect the upcoming presidential election.
"There are few things that unite American voters, but there is one: The belief that Biden is too old to be president," Johnson said. "Decisive margins across all age groups, ethnic groups, and political parties agree with the sentiment. Though [Biden] managed to avoid his age becoming a pivotal issue in 2020, it looks set to be the defining hesitation in voters' minds next year."
Even Biden has acknowledged that his age can be a real issue when voters and actually joked about "being 110" years old in an event in Connecticut in June. So, he knew to himself that this could be a contributing factor as the 2024 presidential election approaches.
