Sen. Marco Rubio: Senior government officials have first-hand knowledge of secret UFO programs
By Laura Harris // Jun 30, 2023

Senator Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) has claimed that multiple senior government officials, including high-security officials of the Pentagon, are aware of a secret UFO craft crash retrieval program operated by the United States.

Rubio made these claims during an interview with NewsNation on June 26, following Air Force veteran and former intelligence officer David Grusch's allegations that the Pentagon had discovered dead alien bodies from crashed spacecraft.

Rubio, the vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, stated that several individuals had come forward over the past few years to share information with the committee regarding the alleged extraterrestrial retrieval program. He emphasized the need to protect these whistleblowers, revealing that some of them hold high positions within the government and possess high-level security clearances.

"We're trying to gather as much of that information as we can. Some of these people still work in the government," Rubio disclosed. He acknowledged their fears of losing their jobs and clearances, or facing harm, which is why they have been hesitant to come forward until now.

Rubio's statements coincide with an ongoing investigation led by House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) into the purported secret military UFO program. The committee plans to hold a hearing on the matter soon.

Pentagon denies David Grusch's claim about recent extraterrestrial discoveries

David Grusch, who previously served in the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and the National Reconnaissance Office and was a member of the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) Task Force from 2019 to 2021, claimed that he had provided classified information to Congress and the Intelligence Community inspector general.

Grusch emphasized that this classified information confirms the existence of secret UAP programs where the government has been retrieving partial and intact remains of nonhuman origin aircraft and their occupants for decades. He claimed that crashed nonhuman origin technical vehicles akin to spacecraft have been recovered, leading to encounters with deceased extraterrestrial pilots.

Although Grusch has yet to present concrete evidence to support his claims, he alleged that numerous current and former senior officers have provided him with evidence and documents over the years.

In response to Grusch's statements, the Pentagon promptly denied the existence of any such UFO program. The Defense Department stated that there is no verifiable information to prove claims of possessing extraterrestrial materials, either in the past or present. When asked about his belief in Grusch's and others' claims, Rubio said he neither finds them credible nor dismisses them outright because they are beyond the realm of what he and others have previously encountered. He stressed the importance of approaching the information with maturity, listening and assembling all the pieces before reaching conclusions.

Rubio's comments followed the advancement of the Senate Intelligence Committee bill that proposes suspending funding for government activities related to unidentified anomalous phenomena unless they are explicitly described, explained and justified to the appropriate congressional committees.

The legislation also discourages funding for recovering unidentified anomalous phenomena craft or their components. Moreover, the bill grants protection to individuals under contract with the federal government, ensuring they will not face criminal or civil repercussions for disclosing information related to such activities.
