The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) stripped Dr. Patrick Phillips of his medical license for his opposition to the medical tyranny it espoused. Phillips himself confirmed the revocation of his license in a tweet.
"I had the privilege of finally entering a plea of no contest in my case with the [CPSO]," he tweeted. "As a result, I was convicted of multiple counts of professional misconduct, declared incompetent and my medical license was revoked."
According to LifeSiteNews, Phillips was ordered by the CPSO to appear before a panel for his reprimand. His license would then be taken away, and he must also pay a fine before July 6. He earlier attended a virtual disciplinary hearing held by the Ontario Physicians and Surgeons Disciplinary Tribunal (OPSDT).
Dr. Roy Kirkpatrick, a member of the OPSDT panel, issued a statement regarding Phillips.
"We are dismayed by the deliberate steps you took to undermine the public health response to the COVID-19 pandemic," he said. " As a physician, the information you communicate is trusted by many. Your communications to colleagues, patients and your thousands of followers on social media regarding COVID 19, and public health response measures were careless, often offensive, and at times possibly harmful."
During the hearing, Phillips' lawyer Michael Alexander said while his client "does not contest the proceeding, that does not mean that he agrees with the findings of facts." (Related: Regulator needs to be regulated: Body that disciplines doctors in Ontario oversteps jurisdiction.)
LifeSiteNews stated that Phillips will be able to appeal to get his license back. However, he must wait one year after the verdict before doing so.
Despite his ordeal, Phillips felt "much peace, forgiveness and even gratitude" for his experience. He continued: "I hold no ill will toward the [CPSO] or [the Canadian] government. It just felt so good to cut that chain of trying to resist what I used to see as injustice."
"I have also been fighting the legal path … by trying to change the world and organizations like the CPSO. Needless to say, this latter course has been met with consistent failures and definitely no peace."
The doctor thanked his lawyer in a tweet. He also thanked fellow physicians Dr. Mark Raymond Trozzi and Dr. Crystal Luchkiw for "continuing the legal fight for constitutional rights at the CPSO." Just like Phillips, the two physicians were canceled for their opposition to the COVID-19 narrative espoused by the college.
The CPSO's revocation of the doctor's license picked up from an earlier disciplinary action done in September 2021. A CBC News report at the time said the regulator barred Phillips from providing exemptions for COVID-19 vaccines, masks and testing. It also prohibited the doctor from prescribing ivermectin, atorvastatin and the antidepressant fluvoxamine in relation to COVID-19 infection.
Moreover, the CPSO smeared Phillips as "incompetent" and accused him of engaging in "disgraceful" and "dishonorable" conduct. According to an email by the regulator, he had made "misleading, incorrect or inflammatory statements about vaccinations, treatments and public health measures for COVID-19." The allegations against the doctor had been referred to the OPSD, it added.
Phillips dismissed the penalties against him. He tweeted that he has "never been more proud of myself than the day I decided to take a stand against our country's medical tyranny."
