“Woke” ad for U.S. Army focuses on LGBTQ issues, lesbian mothers, while Russia focuses on recruiting manly men
By JD Heyes // May 18, 2021

We've said it before: The 'woke' Marxist left in America has their sight set on destroying the last truly patriotic (and truly nonpartisan) institution in our country: The U.S. military.

And the Biden regime's handlers aren't wasting any time.

A few weeks ago, the CIA turned heads and disgusted seasoned veterans and retirees alike when it unveiled a recruitment ad featuring a 36-year-old Latina agent who described herself as an “intersectional” and “cisgender millennial that has actually been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder.

At one point in the video, the agent says she used to “struggle with imposter syndrome." However now, she won't “internalize misguided patriarchal ideas of what a woman can or should be.”

This, again, is a recruitment ad...for the Central Intelligence Agency, which is supposed to be the foremost intelligence service in the world. And they are actively seeking out individuals a) based on gender; b) based on identity politics; and c) who have mental health problems, admittedly.

Get ready for a whole bunch more 911's.

But no worries; if we get attacked again, we'll simply unleash the power and fury of the U.S. military, right?

Not so fast; it seems like the Army is using the same woke ad agency as the CIA.

Townhall notes:

The Army’s new recruitment video takes wokeness to the next level, featuring lesbian moms, a same-sex wedding, equality marches, and more.

Described by leftist outlets as a “tear-jerking queer story,” the new animated video is part of a series, “The Calling,” which showcases why five soldiers joined the Army.

One video in the campaign features corporal Emma Malonelord, who operates the Patriot missile defense system.

“It begins in California, with a little girl raised by two moms,” Malonelord says. “Although I had a fairly typical childhood, took ballet, played violin, I also marched for equality.

“I like to think I’ve been defending freedom from an early age,” she noted further.

After marching in the gay pride parade, Malonelord said one of her mothers got into a tragic accident that left her paralyzed, though she still managed to recover enough where she could walk down the aisle to marry her other mother.

And as her graduation from college drew near, Malonelord said that she began “feeling like I’ve been handed so much in life, a sorority girl stereotype…but what had I really achieved on my own?”

“I needed my own adventures, my own challenge, and after meeting with an army recruiter, I found it,” she added. “A way to prove my inner strength and maybe shatter some stereotypes along the way.”

Hence, the Army.

Again, this is a recruitment ad, and while we're not trying to insult or degrade anyone's personal life or sexual orientation, the fact is the vast majority of the human species, which includes Americans, are not LGBTQ.

What's more, the U.S. military's sole purpose is to defend the country, which includes the use of lethal force that often requires not just mental capabilities but physical capabilities.

Shouldn't those two qualities be the most important in terms of recruitment?

The Russian military thinks so. And mind you, one doesn't have to speak Russian to know what this ad is 'saying.'

Should our military be open just to men? Of course not; American women are highly capable and have proven themselves in combat over the years as subsequent White House administrations instructed the Pentagon to open more fields to them.

But again, perception is reality, and the perception among our enemies, based on these recruitment ads, is that suddenly, under the Biden regime, our country isn't really serious about protecting itself anymore.

The perception is we seem to be preoccupied instead with checking off identity boxes rather than recruiting the best and brightest and most capable people we can find to serve and protect our country.

This will have consequences. Count on it.
