Biden is used to speaking to small crowds; he couldn’t draw flies to a manure festival when he barely campaigned for president last fall. And his running mate, Kamala Harris, was so unpopular even Biden got more black support than she did as she became one of the first in the crowded field of Democratic hopefuls to abandon her traction-less effort.
So — was it COVID-19 that kept people way? Nope; earlier this month before professional agitators convinced a few hundred of his supporters to riot at the Capitol Building, then-President Donald Trump (still our rightful president) addressed a crowd estimated to be more than 100,000.
Was it Biden telling people to stay away? Not really.
It was more because Biden’s inauguration took place in the middle of a militarily-occupied city, inside a perimeter surrounded by tens of thousands of armed National Guard troops. The message: ‘We are in charge now and we have the power to crush our opposition if and when we choose to.’
Biden must feel like he will need that kind of protection for as long as he’s in office because his and Harris’ agenda isn’t going to be very popular with Americans.
No sooner than he sits his decrepit rear end behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office, Biden plans to sign a bevy of executive orders prepared for him by his left-wing handlers: These orders are aimed at purposefully dismantling the Trump legacy not because these actions will be good for the country — they won’t be — but simply because the Trump Derangement Syndrome is still strong in D.C. and definitely within the Marxist Party. (Related: Pompeo: “China is already within our borders”.)
Fox News has more:
President Biden on Wednesday will issue a slew of executive orders related to immigration, reversing some of the most controversial of former President Donald Trump’s immigration policies -- a sign of Biden’s early focus on immigration in his first days in office.
Let’s examine some of the most consequential among them:
— Reversing the ‘Muslim ban’: This was one of President Trump’s first orders — to bar people from traveling to the United States from countries whose governments either support terrorism or look the other way. Most, not all, of these countries are “majority Muslim,” but Democrats and the media have been lying about this order for four years — it was never a “Muslim ban,” but was a national security matter. By rescinding it, Biden is putting the country in greater danger.
— Reentering the Paris Climate Accords: Trump withdrew from this Obama-era ‘agreement’ (it was never offered to the GOP-controlled Senate as a treaty because it would have been rejected) because it requires the U.S. to bear the brunt of ‘cutting back on emissions,’ not the world’s two biggest polluters, India and China. Thus, our country’s economy will take a hit, not theirs; we will decline (again) while they rise. This, as Biden also plans to kill the Keystone XL pipeline that would have led to even more energy independence for our country.
— Halting Border Wall Construction: Before he left office, and after his own party refused to back legislation authorizing it, Trump managed to secure enough funds to build or repair and replace some 450 miles of wall and fencing along the U.S.-Mexico border. The result: Dramatically decreased drug smuggling and human trafficking. But even as a new migrant caravan approaches the U.S. from Honduras, Biden will immediately halt wall construction and reassign the funds. He’s also going to end Trump’s immigration enforcement strategies — so more open borders and more illegal immigrants who will be made legal citizens soon under a legislative proposal to provide a path to naturalization Biden’s administration will send to a Democrat-controlled Congress soon.
More illegal immigration that costs our cities and states and drives down wages for Americans while taking their jobs, overwhelming their medical system and increasing their taxes during a still-stagnant pandemic job market.
Reentering an expensive agreement that will make American energy more costly.
Putting Americans at greater risk.
Sounds like the bad old days of the Obama regime, doesn’t it?
