Wikileaks reveals how the Clinton campaign bullies and manipulates the media

A new report, released by the Center for Public Integrity, shows the vast majority of politically active journalists have donated money to the Clinton campaign. Journalists, reporters, news editors and television news anchors have combined to give $396,000 to 2016 presidential campaigns — over 96 percent of which has gone to Hillary Clinton.

There are many instances where journalists have been friendly with campaign officials. Donna Brazile, both a Democratic National Committee (DNC) vice chair and CNN contributor at the time, apparently gave the Clinton campaign a heads-up on a question that was asked at a CNN town hall. While both Brazile and CNN deny the allegation by insisting Brazile did not have access to the information.

Emails released Monday by Wikileaks prove further collusion between mainstream media outlets and the Democratic Party. Glenn Thrush, a Politico chief White House political correspondent and senior staff writer, turned in his newly written article to Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta, to make sure nothing enclosed would offend the Clinton camp.

John Podesta, recently got into it with campaign spokesman Philippe Reines about leaks after CNN learned that a Hillary interview was in the works with MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell. “You got to stop this. The press is trading in rumors that can easily originate in their own newsrooms. If someone wanted to leak juicy tidbits, they have a lot more to work with than our press planning. If we are going to be at each others throats before we start, we are going nowhere.” Reines responded to Podesta by saying, “With all due respect, and reluctantly to do this in front of HRC except for wanting to defend myself against being labeled as a cancer – but the conclusion that it is ME that has to stop ‘this’ is really unfair… Not to mention I’m following up on a topic last night where you yourself felt it enough of a problem to have warned the Secretary her people yap.”

Huma Abedin, vice chairwoman of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign, had her own strategy to keep Hillary away from undesired media topics. She asked Podesta if they can survive not answering any questions from the press at message events. Podesta’s answer to this  burning question? “If she thinks we can get to Labor Day without taking press questions, I think that’s suicidal, We have to find some mechanism to let the stream out of the pressure cooker.”

Hillary Clinton has now gone nine months without a press conference.
