Zuckerberg’s ACCOUNTABILITY ESCAPE STRATEGY includes abandoning his “fact checkers” – however META’s AI systems are already programmed to commandeer the same narratives
By Lance D Johnson // Jan 08, 2025

After censoring and expelling Americans who understood the truth about COVID-19 vaccines, government tyranny parading as public health, and the corruption and criminality of the Democratic Party, Mark Zuckerberg would like all us to believe in him once again. Zuckerberg announced that Meta will stop relying on third party fact checkers to censor Americans. After shadow banning, de-platforming, and forcing fact-check-censorship onto conservative political candidates, critical thinkers, independent news organizations, and nonprofits for more than a decade, Mark Zuckerberg presents his best escape strategy to avoid taking any real responsibility for his actions.

Zuckerberg puts all the blame on "fact checkers" while refusing to take real accountability for censoring Americans

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced Tuesday that the social media giant will abandon its controversial third-party fact-checking program in favor of a system modeled after Elon Musk’s Community Notes on X (formerly Twitter). This decision comes from a CEO who previously denied that censorship was taking place, while Facebook whistleblowers and independent journalists called him out on his deception.

Zuckerberg's decision, which comes just over a month after he met with former President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago, signals a significant shift in Meta’s approach to content moderation, emphasizing “free speech” and reducing political bias against Conservatives, libertarians, independents, and Republicans. The move has sparked debate over the role of social media platforms in shaping public discourse, and their culpability for conspiring with corporate and federal agencies to destroy free speech while commandeering false narratives over the past decade.

Zuckerberg's sudden plea for "free speech" is pure theater and deception because these old information battlefields that used fact checkers and fake news labels have already been conquered and abandoned. Zuckerberg is playing on an entirely new playing field now - engineering AI systems so populations can be manipulated into believing corporate and left-wing narratives in a more subtle yet authoritative way. The social engineering that is baked into these AI systems has the potential to manipulate group think and drive hysteria further into supporting left-wing causes and corporate propaganda. This social engineering will only democratize online censorship: lobotomized social media users will take to community note platforms to silence content that they find offensive or not in alignment with the programmed AI responses they just received from Meta. The democratization of authoritarian lies, assisted by AI bots and engineered group think, will make the truth look even less popular online and make dissenters appear even crazier than before.

A return to “free expression” will inevitably be overrun by AI bots and group think engineered to promote false narratives

Zuckerberg framed his latest decision as a return to Meta’s roots, emphasizing the company’s commitment to free expression. “We’re going to get back to our roots and focus on reducing mistakes, simplifying our policies, and restoring free expression on our platforms,” he said in a video posted on Facebook. The new system, which will roll out first in the U.S., will replace fact-checkers with a community-driven model where users contribute and rate notes on posts they deem misleading.

While this may appear, at first, to open up debate on contentious topics, Meta’s AI bots and associated bot farms will inevitably overwhelm Meta's "community notes” with their own AI-engineered narratives. Meta has already engineered false narratives into their AI systems, stifling progress on contentious issues and erasing history on important topics. This is a sophisticated subterfuge of censorship at the highest levels that most social media users will be oblivious to. This social engineering from Meta's AI systems will continue to spread false narratives in the form of a dangerous community group think, as lobotomized social media users promulgate lies and democratize censorship of the truth, inevitably marking dissent on contentious topics as "misinformation."

Meta’s decision to end its fact-checking program, launched in 2016, reflects growing concerns over political bias. “After 2016, the legacy media wrote non-stop about how misinformation was a threat to democracy,” Zuckerberg said. “We tried in good faith to address those concerns without becoming the arbiters of truth, but the fact-checkers have just been too politically biased.” Herein, Zuckerberg places all the blame for the censorship at the feet of the “fact-checkers” he is now promising to eliminate. Zuckerberg fails to mention that Facebook had the final say on what was algorithmically censored, shadow banned, and affirmatively decided who would be de-platformed from the site, regardless of the propaganda provided to them by the “fact checkers” federal agencies, and NGOs.

A broader shift in social media moderation awaits

Meta’s decision marks a broader shift in the social media landscape, as platforms grapple with the challenges of moderating content while preserving free speech. X’s Community Notes system, which allows users to flag and contextualize misleading posts, has emerged as a potential “gold standard” for content moderation.

Unlike traditional fact-checking, which relies on a small group of experts, Community Notes empowers the platform’s user base to collectively determine what constitutes misinformation. However, emerging AI systems (that are engineered by the very people who promulgated lies during the 2016, 2020, and 2024 elections) are already engineered to promote the same false narratives. A Meta Community Notes system could quickly be overrun or arbitrated by AI systems that are designed to promulgate lies. The censorship of competing narratives and objective dissent is already baked into these systems. These systems will appear authoritative on the issues, driving a type of group think among the online community that will ultimately lead to truthful posts becoming flagged for “misinformation.”

Of course, Zuckerberg is getting rid of “fact checkers” because Meta et al. have already engineered their political perspectives and outright lies into their own AI systems. These AI systems are already subtly weakening the public’s ability to learn about complex topics and make truly informed decisions about medical, political, and scientific issues that impact their life.
