President-elect Donald Trump has endorsed KC Crosbie as the new co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC) to replace his outgoing daughter-in-law Lara Trump.

Lara, who was elected as RNC co-chair in March, played a significant role in the success of the Republican Party in the recent elections. She helped them win the White House, gain control of the Senate and maintain a majority in the House of Representatives.

Lara announced her resignation as co-chair to the RNC on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Dec. 8. "The job I came to do is now complete," she wrote.

The following day, Trump expressed his appreciation for Lara's contributions during her time at the RNC. "Lara, together with Chairman Michael Whatley, transformed the RNC into a lean, focused and powerful machine that is empowering the MAGA Movement for many years to come," the president-elect wrote on Truth Social. "Thank you for your hard work, Lara, in MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

He then endorsed America First Patriot KC Crosbie as the new co-chair of the RNC to replace his daughter-in-law. (Related: Trump to replace Janet Yellen with hedge fund mogul Scott Bessent as Treasury Secretary.)

"America First Patriot KC Crosbie is running to become the next co-chair of the Republican National Committee, to replace the fantastic Lara Trump!" the president-elect wrote on his Truth Social platform. "KC has been with me from the very beginning, helping REAL Republicans get elected across the Country, and would be a tremendous co-chair of the RNC! KC will work on continuing to ensure a highly functioning, fiscally responsible and effective RNC that makes Election Integrity a highest priority."

Moreover, Trump stressed that Crosbie, who currently serves as the RNC treasurer and committeewoman from Kentucky, has "smashed every fundraising record in history." He declared that Crosbie has his full support. "KC Crosbie has my complete and total endorsement to be the next co-chair of the RNC!"

Trump taps Mark Paoletta and Harmeet Dhillon for administrative roles on his second term

That same day, Trump also announced a pair of his administration picks.

In another post on Truth Social, the president-elect reappointed Mark Paoletta as the general counsel of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Paoletta, a seasoned attorney with a lengthy tenure in both Congress and the White House, was the OMB General Counsel during Trump's first term. Paoletta, known for his adept legal and investigative skills, has been instrumental in pushing for federal funding to construct the Southern Border Wall and in reining in "woke and weaponized" government spending.

"Mark is a brilliant and tenacious lawyer, who worked tirelessly to advance my Agenda in the First Term," the president-elect posted. "As OMB GC in my First Administration, Mark led the charge to identify funding to build the Southern Border Wall, and worked with then-OMB Director Russ Vought to rein in woke and weaponized Government spending. Mark is a partner at the Law Firm, Schaerr Jaffe, and a senior fellow at the Center for Renewing America."

In another post on X, Trump nominated Harmeet Dhillon, a prominent Bay Area lawyer who focuses on commercial litigation, employment law, First Amendment rights and election law matters, for the Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights role at the Department of Justice (DOJ).

"Harmeet is a respected member of the Sikh religious community," Trump posted. "In her new role at the DOJ, Harmeet will be a tireless defender of our Constitutional Rights and will enforce our Civil Rights and Election Laws FAIRLY and FIRMLY."
