Biden’s White House admits to authorizing ATACMS strikes into Russia – they’re trying to burden Trump with WWIII, says Tucker Carlson
By Belle Carter // Dec 02, 2024

For the first time since Russia confirmed that Ukraine targeted the country with Western-supplied long-range missiles, President Joe Biden's White House confirmed on Monday, Nov. 25, that it indeed authorized Kyiv to launch American-provided Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) into Russia.

United States National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said that the U.S. "changed the guidance" for Ukraine to allow firing ATACMS, which have a range of about 190 miles, into the Russian territory, including in the Kursk Oblast. where Russian troops have been gradually pushing back Ukrainian forces following Kyiv's surprise incursion back in August.

"They can use ATACMS to defend themselves, you know, on an immediate-need basis. And right now, you know, understandably, that's taking place in and around Kursk, in the Kursk Oblast," Kirby said.

Last week, reports came out that the outgoing U.S. president finally allowed Ukraine to fire ATACMS, into Russia. Two days later, Ukraine fired ATACMS into Russia's Bryansk Oblast.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has been issuing stern warnings that if the United States permits Ukrainian President Zelensky to use their weapons to target Russian territory, an escalation that could lead to a nuclear war may take place and the U.S. will be directly at war with Russia since Ukraine needs intelligence from the U.S. to fire the missiles. (Related: Putin revises nuclear doctrine, making it easier for Russia to target Ukraine with nukes.)

"We consider ourselves entitled to use our weapons against the military facilities of those countries that allow their weapons to be used against our facilities," Putin said last week. "If anyone else doubts this, then they are wrong – there will always be a response."

Similarly, Ukraine has been given the green light to use British-provided Storm Shadow missiles in strikes on Russia and the French variant, known as SCALP missiles.

Meanwhile, critics are pointing out how the Biden administration made sure to make a last-minute move to instigate further escalation into the conflict. Conservative commentator Tucker Carlson even said that the present administration wants to leave President-elect Donald Trump with a global conflict that could lead to World War III.

During an interview with Trump's former Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Director Russ Vought, Carlson said the Biden regime has been working on a plan to leave the incoming Trump administration in the middle of global warfare, calling it the most evil thing he has ever seen in his life.

"If you doubt how serious the opposition is to the public, not just to Trump, but to the majority of the country that voted for him – they're trying to leave him with World War III on the way out," Carlson said.

Kremlin confirms ATACMS strike hit military and civilian airfield in Kursk

The Russian Ministry of Defense admitted on Tuesday, Nov. 26 that Ukraine's armed forces hit a military and civilian airfield in the Kursk region with multiple long-range ATACMS.

"Seven missiles were shot down. One hit the target," the ministry said, as reported by Russia's state-owned Ria Novosti news outlet. "The defense ministry is preparing a strike in response to the attacks."

Apart from the airfield strike, the ministry also confirmed that Kyiv had used five ATACMS missiles to hit S-400 missile positions in Lotarevka, a village in the Kursk region, on Saturday.

"Three missiles were destroyed, while two hit the target," the defense ministry told the news outlet.

Kyiv has officially confirmed only the S-400 attacks and has not identified the missiles it used.

"[The] Ukrainian Army carried out a group strike on the positions of the anti-aircraft missile division 1490 ... of the Russian Federation in Kursk region. A successful hit was recorded on the radar station of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile system," Kyiv's General Staff said in a statement Monday, adding that the S-400 unit conducted combat operations in the "ground-to-ground" mode, i.e. hitting stationary ground targets, mostly civilian objects and peaceful residents of settlements in the front-line regions of Ukraine.
