European leaders conspire to SABOTAGE Trump’s plan to end Ukraine war
By Ramon Tomey // Nov 15, 2024

Leaders of several European countries are conspiring to sabotage President-elect Donald Trump's plan to end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

The Daily Telegraph reported on Monday, Nov. 11, that the leaders of the United Kingdom and France are "expected to plot a last-ditch attempt to thwart Trump's efforts to scale back" the United States' support for Ukraine. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron met that day in Paris to discuss how to keep the Ukraine conflict going.

"We are very keen to make sure we can make the most of the time between now and Jan. 20, and not just put everything on hold until the next administration," a British government source told the Telegraph. Another source said outgoing U.S. President Joe Biden is expected to "turn on the taps" by giving Ukraine more financial aid before he leaves the White House.

Poland is also involved in the scheme, courtesy of Prime Minister Donald Tusk – who formerly headed the European Council from 2014 to 2019. He told Polish media outlet TVP that he will "intensively coordinate" with European countries to continue helping Kyiv fight Moscow. According to Tusk, Trump's plan to end the conflict with Ukraine represents a "fundamental threat to Poland and Polish interests" given that Warsaw shares a border with Ukraine and Moscow's close ally Belarus.

"There is no doubt that this new political landscape is a serious challenge for everyone, especially in the context of a possible end to the [Russia-Ukraine] war as a result of an agreement between, for example, the president of Russia and the new president of the U.S.," the Polish leader said. "In the coming days, we will very intensively coordinate cooperation with countries that have a very similar view on the geopolitical and transatlantic situation and situation in Ukraine."

End of Ukraine conflict means the end of funding for Kyiv

But the Telegraph pointed out that Starmer's plan, and by extension Macron's and Tusk's, "could be seen by Trump as an attempt to undermine U.S. foreign policy."

"Trump has pledged to wind down the [Russia-Ukraine] war by brokering a peace deal between Ukraine and Russia," InfoWars reported. While a specific plan has not yet been announced, possible stipulations in the deal include the establishment of a demilitarized buffer zone between Ukraine and Russia, Kyiv seceding Russian-occupied territory to Moscow and a 20-year guarantee that Ukraine won't join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

InfoWars added that since winning the Nov. 5 U.S. presidential elections, Trump has already spoken with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin about bringing peace to Europe. U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said on Sunday, Nov. 10, that the Biden administration will work to convince the president-elect to continue funding Kyiv when he takes office in January.

"[Outgoing U.S.] President Biden will have the opportunity over the next 70 days to make the case to the [U.S.] Congress and to the incoming administration that the U.S. should not walk away from Ukraine," Sullivan told CBS News. "Walking away from Ukraine means more instability in Europe."

But Donald Trump Jr., the president-elect's eldest son, begged to differ. He reiterated that "war hawks" have no place in his father's second administration, according to the Telegraph. The younger Trump also mocked Zelensky in an Instagram story Saturday, Nov. 9.

Donald Jr.'s story featured a video of the Ukrainian leader with the elder Trump, with a long face. The younger Trump captioned the story with a jab at the eventual loss of Zelensky's "allowance" from Washington.
