Billionaire Elon Musk says AI will eventually replace nearly all human workers
By Ethan Huff // May 29, 2024

One of the world's most government-subsidized billionaires is talking out of his behind again about how the world of the future will not include human workers.

That billionaire is Elon Musk, who despite fathering at least 10 children so far believes that people in the future will struggle to find employment and meaning as artificial intelligence (AI), of which he is a part, takes over the world.

Musk has said this kind of thing before, but he recently doubled down in stating that humans of the future will need a "universal high income" in order to survive as AI-driven job displacement sweeps the planet.

Once AI robots have taken over most of the jobs that people currently do, humanity's purpose, in Musk's eyes, could just be to "give AI meaning" – Musk is a godless technocrat so of course his philosophical musings about an AI future are devoid of any actual meaning apart from the robots he and his ilk are building and unleashing.

"My biggest fear is AI," Musk admitted, repeating what he has said on many occasions about fearing the AI future.

(Related: Last year, Musk hired WEF [World Economic Forum] globalist Linda Yaccarino to take over his X platform, Yaccarino being a tried-and-true deep state asset.)

Nobody wants to live in Musk's AI future

Musk, currently the world's wealthiest person thanks in large part to U.S. government subsidies, delivered these and other ominous statements at the recent VivaTech 2024 event in Paris. Musk envisions a future in which all of our goods and services are made and provided by AI rather than people.

"The question will really be one of meaning – if the computer and robots can do everything better than you, does your life have meaning?" Musk asked. "I do think there's perhaps still a role for humans in this, in that we may give AI meaning."

Humans in the AI future could still work "as a hobby" if they want, but ultimately humans will be "useless" in terms of providing value to shareholders, Musk said in so many words.

For someone who is so "afraid" of AI that he cannot stop talking about it every chance he gets, Musk sure does love to create AI systems via his xAI company, which recently secured a whopping $6 billion in funding from Lightspeed Venture Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, Sequoia Capital and Tribe Capital, bringing the company's value up to $18 billion.

Musk admits his xAI company lags behind industry leaders like OpenAI and DeepMind, but he is hopeful that it will catch up to the others by the end of 2024.

"xAI is a new company so it still has a lot of catching up to do before it has an AI that is competitive with Google Deepmind and OpenAI," Musk said. "Maybe towards the end of the year, we will have that."

AI could surpass humans by as soon as 2025, in Musk's opinion. And he hopes that xAI will be among the top companies that successfully unleash AI programs that are capable of human-level cognition (assuming that such a concept is even possible, which the world's top minds say is debatable.)

Keep in mind, though, that Musk loves to talk, having said lots of things over the years that never actually came to fruition. In 2019, for instance, he infamously promised that Tesla would unleash one million fully autonomous robo-taxis by 2020, which did not happen. Musk now says that it will unveil its first-ever robo-taxi this coming August, which remains to be seen.
