Back in 2015, and again in 2017, Harari, a proud homosexual, discussed the creation of this massive class of useless people. When asked at the time if his 2015 book provided any solutions, Harari responded that the best he and his cohorts have "is to keep them [the useless class] happy with drugs and computer games."
There are actually two books Harari wrote about all this: "Sapiens: A Brief History of Human Kind" and "Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow."
To clarify, Harari is a leftist Jew who seems to stand in opposition to the agenda of the right-wing Zionists. He does not want the Israel-Hamas conflict to escalate any further, but he is also a believer in a technological takeover of the world, including a technological "Noah's Ark" to deliver he and others like him from the horrors to come.
(Related: Harari also says that "non-organic entities," i.e., demons, and their "emotionless algorithms" are taking over the world with artificial intelligence [AI].)
Harari has said some really bizarre things over the years, often related to his dystopian vision of the future. Because he is so well known, some worry that the types of things he is suggesting will one day take hold globally.
"He really is an influencer," commented Dr. John Lennox, a renowned Oxford mathematician and author of the book "2084: Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Humanity."
Human knowledge is under attack! Governments and powerful corporations are using censorship to wipe out humanity's knowledge base about nutrition, herbs, self-reliance, natural immunity, food production, preparedness and much more. "What he actually has to say concerns me more because of its inaccuracy and his reading of history seems, to me, to be very strange."
Dr. Lennox then commented on two major agenda items that Harari outlines in his book "Homo Deus."
"The first is to solve the technological problem of human death. He regards it as a technical problem and a technical problem with technical solutions. And then secondly, to enhance human happiness ... [On] enhancing human happiness his target is, and this is more or less a quote, 'is to turn Homo sapiens into Homo Deus.' In other words, turn humans into gods."
Not long after he released "Homo Deus," Harari gave a speech about his other book, "Sapiens," at TEDTalks. Following the speech, Harari was asked to elaborate on statements he made in "Sapiens," including a passage about "new classes and new class struggles, just as the industrial revolution did."
"In the industrial revolution, we saw the creation of a new class of the urban proletariat," Harari responded. "And much of the political and social history of the last 200 years involved what to do with this class and the new problems and opportunities."
"Now, we see the creation of a new massive class of useless people."
Harari seems to see the world through the lens of survival of the fittest. He envisions a future in which computers "become better and better in more and more fields" to the point that they will eventually out-perform humans in most things, which he says "will make humans redundant."
"And then the big political and economic question of the 21st century will be, 'What do we need humans for?' or at least, 'What do we need so many humans for?'"
Harari clarified that he is not predicting the future so much as laying out possibilities for it.
"It's not a prophecy," he added. "It's seeing all kinds of possibilities before us."
