Over the past several weeks, Israel has been pushing the narrative that a hidden "Hamas Command Center" exists inside al-Shifa, this being the excuse Israel used to bomb and raid the facility, killing patients and other civilians along the way. In the end, the raid turned up next to nothing to support Israel's claims.
The image below, which shows masked IDF soldiers showing off what they uncovered, reveals little more than a handful of radios, some booklets, some CDs, and a pair of handcuffs – hardly enough of anything, in other words, to back the claim that Hamas was using al-Shifa as a command center.
This is worse than the goofy gun bust images sheriffs put out sometimes and we all laugh at. https://t.co/aqu6aXa5Ed

(Related: Check out our earlier report about how Israel built the hidden tunnels underneath al-Shifa Hospital where Western powers claim Hamas is now hiding.)
As noted by independent reports, there were a couple rifles found in the hospital as well, but those could have easily been planted by IDF soldiers before they took the above photo, apparently boasting about what was uncovered.
Despite all this, Israel has decided to go ahead and declare that the MRI center of al-Shifa still was, somehow, a Hamas "operational command center."

??????? BREAKING: IDF finds “grab bag” with weapons behind an MRI machine!
Problems:
1) The MRI is a strong magnet
2) The grab bag is very easy to carry, by Hamas out or by IDF in pic.twitter.com/rrFWyvnCi7

Information Liberation's Chris Menahan commented that the whole operation was clearly "made for TV" because of how ridiculous the whole thing appears. The world was expecting massive evidence of a Hamas presence inside the hospital, based on Israel's previous claims, only to discover that there was almost no evidence in the end to back them.
The following clip also shows anomalies with Israel's claims of what its military forces did find, suggesting that Israel planted fake evidence but messed up the script a few times along the way:
In Fox News' inspection of the MRI room at Al-Shifa hospital there are clearly two visible AK47's behind the machine. Yet when the IDF Spokesman inspected the room earlier there was only one.
Clear tampering with the "evidence" by the IDF,
What could be the excuse for this? pic.twitter.com/PwXbCQyKCx

Keep in mind that on October 27, the IDF Twitter account released a CGI depiction of an elaborate tunnel network supposedly filled with Hamas militants and their command center. In the end, none of this appears to have been true as the tunnels were apparently empty, and the hospital only contained scant evidence of a possible Hamas presence at some point in time.
The Shifa Hospital is not only the largest hospital in Gaza but it also acts as the main headquarters for Hamas’ terrorist activity.
Terrorism does not belong in a hospital and the IDF will operate to uncover any terrorist infrastructure. pic.twitter.com/Ybpln5xQb2

It has also come to our attention that senior Israeli officials were well aware that there were no actual hostages inside al-Shift prior to the raid, but it was conducted anyway as a "symbol that there is no place we will not reach," to quote one of them.
In other words, Israeli arrogance and pride is what drove the raid, not evidence. It was more of a "look what we can do!" bragging rite than an effort to supposedly save innocent lives.
