Josh Paul, a State Department veteran, says he simply cannot participate in "blind support for one side" on this matter, which he called "shortsighted, destructive, unjust and contradictory to the very values we publicly espouse."
"This administration, I think, knows better and understands some of the complexity, but brought very little of that nuance to the policy decisions that are being made," Paul further commented in a statement to the media.
"Let me be clear: Hamas' attack on Israel was not just a monstrosity; it was a monstrosity of monstrosities. But I believe to the core of my soul that the response Israel is taking, and with it the American support both for that response ... will only lead to more and deeper suffering for both the Israeli and the Palestinian people."

Paul told The New York Times that he fears the U.S. is making the same exact mistake it made again and again in years past with its unconditional support for Israel, regardless of Israel's actions.

Israel's decision to cut off all fuel, electricity, food and water from the Gaza Strip, which is home to about 2.3 million Palestinian people with Semitic blood, was simply too much for Paul.
Paul believes that this decision alone by Israel should trigger a slew of federal laws that normally prevent U.S. weapons from ending up in the hands of human rights violators – but because of Israeli supremacy, they apparently get a special pass to brazenly commit war crimes against their enemies because they believe themselves to be "God's chosen."
"The problem with all of those provisions is that it rests on the executive branch making a determination that human rights violations have occurred," Paul further said.
"The decision to make a determination doesn't rest with some nonpartisan academic entity, and there's no incentive for the president to actually determine anything."
Paul's statements come after the Biden regime announced a $10 billion military aid package to Israel following Biden's visit to Tel Aviv, the LGBT pride capital of the world.
Joe "the big guy" Biden personally urged Israel to avoid using the money to advance its "all-consuming rage" against Gaza and the Palestinian people. To do this, Biden added, would be an overreaction to the Hamas false flag attack on October 7 – Hamas was created by Israel and the U.S. back in the 1970s, by the way.
In Paul's view, all this aid money, plus the constant cache of weapons, that the U.S. continues to hand over to Israel with no strings attached is illegal – but because it is Israel, they get a special supremacy pass to do whatever they want.
"What it leads to is this desire to sort of impose security at any cost, including in cost to the Palestinian civilian population," Paul stated. "And that doesn't ultimately lead to security."
