According to reports, Murphy and two other men are being accused of engaging in a concerning "criminal mischief pattern" after they were identified as having taken down a handful of Pride flags from the Stonewall National Monument and, gasp!, throwing them on the ground.
For the past several months while smash-and-grabs, murders, and other actual crimes were occurring unpunished all throughout the Big Apple, police officers were spending their time and taxpayer resources on identifying Murphy and the other flag-ripping-down "culprits," who initially were a mystery.
On X (formerly known as Twitter), New York City Councilor Erik Bottcher shared a few photos of the small mess on the ground, as well as some over-the-top commentary theatrics about the "crime."
"If anyone thinks this is going to intimidate us or weaken our resolve, they're mistaken," Bottcher wrote.
Someone vandalized the rainbow flag display on the Stonewall National Monument on Christopher Street, snapping the flag sticks and throwing them on the ground. If anyone thinks this is going to intimidate us or weaken our resolve, they’re mistaken. ? ? pic.twitter.com/sFdue8NrPG

(Related: If you say "white lives matter" or "it's okay to be white," then the left considers you guilty of a "hate crime.")
Murphy says he is innocent of any kind of "hate crime," seeing as how no actual person was hurt and no actual crime was committed. Hurting feelings of LGBTs is not a crime, after all.
"It is preposterous to conclude that Patrick was involved in any hate crime," commented Robert Gottlieb, Murphy's attorney. "The evidence will clearly show that whatever happened that night involving Patrick was not intended to attack gays or their symbol, the gay pride flag."
Seeing as how innocent children walk the public streets of New York City, Murphy was actually doing society a favor by ripping down these symbols of sexual deviancy, perversion, and pedophilia, which is what the LGBT "rainbow" flag truly symbolizes.
Not only that, but the gays religiously appropriated the real rainbow, which has seven colors instead of six and represents God's promise to never again flood the entire world with water – because next time He is going to do it with fire.
"God created the rainbow as a sign of HIS covenant between Him and man that He wouldn't destroy the Earth with water again," one person wrote. "Guess what's coming instead?"
"Hate crimes are thought crimes," wrote another about the erroneous concept of a hate crime. "They're meant to stifle constitutionally protected speech. Hate crimes are used by totalitarian dictators to police speech."
"Unless it's a crime to put those flags on the ground, you have nothing here."
Another commented on the flagrantly misplaced priorities of New York City's leaders, which are more concerned about some cheap, tacky, made-in-China flags on sticks than they are with, oh, you know, making sure their constituents can afford to live and eat.
"Given the state of your city right now, this level of commitment to protecting sexual proclivities seems inappropriate. Don't the other 80% of your constituents have more pressing concerns?"
The very concept of a "hate crime" is a Trojan horse to eliminate your free speech rights. Learn more at FirstAmendment.news.
