Elder sister Leah recounted a July 27 hearing by the House Subcommittee on the Constitution and Limited Government regarding so-called "'gender-affirming care" for children. The hearing saw detransitioner Chloe Cole testify before lawmakers about the ordeal she suffered with gender surgeries.
According to Leah, there is no successful transgender surgery that has been done. She cited a doctor who explained that the reason why there is none is that it is impossible. Surgeons have never been able to completely change a woman into a man and vice versa.
She then played a video of Cole's testimony, where the detransitioner lamented becoming "a victim of one of the biggest medical scandals in the history of the United States." Cole had been diagnosed with gender dysphoria during her early puberty, and was very uncomfortable with the changes happening to her body.
Cole came out as transgender, causing her parents to be immediately concerned. They sought help from medical professionals, a move she said proved to be a mistake as it set her entire family on a path of ideologically motivated deceit and coercion.
According to Cole, the puberty blocking drugs and testosterone injections she had taken caused permanent changes in her body. She admitted to struggling with sexual dysfunction, and lamented that a huge part of her future womanhood had been taken from her
"I speak to you in the hope that you will have the courage to bring this scandal to an end, and ensure that other vulnerable teenagers, children and young adults don't go through what I went through," she concluded her testimony.
Leah also said the hearing featured former University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) swimmer Paula Scanlan, a teammate of controversial transgender swimmer Lia Thomas. Scanlan was one of many swimmers who came out to denounce the idea of Thomas, a biological male, walking around naked with biological females in a bathroom. Scanlan told lawmakers in her testimony: "My teammates and I were forced to undress in the presence of Lia, a 6-foot-4 tall biological male, fully intact with male genitalia 18 times per week. Some girls opted to change in bathroom stalls, and others use the family bathroom to avoid this."
"When we tried to voice our concerns to the athletic department, we were told that Lia's swimming and being in our locker room was a non-negotiable, and we were offered psychological services to attempt to re-educate us to become comfortable with the idea of undressing in front of a male."
The former UPenn swimmer noted the university's response: "We, the women, were the problem – not the victims."
According to Leah, an authority figure telling a grown woman to be naked in a room with a grown man and insisting there is something wrong with her when she questions it is like being raped.
"That is raping your mind, raping your body. It is sexual assault because if a man were to throw out his goods in the store, he would go to jail and he should," she said. "But a man throwing out his goods in front of all these girls for some sort of the girls are saying weird sexual fetish."
Leah noted that Scanlan and other women athletes are rightfully upset for two reasons. First, they face sexual assault in their own bathrooms and second, their medals and winnings are being taken away by biological men.
Michelle, the younger sister, ultimately concluded that the Left is all about the patriarchy once more – now that biological men disguising as transgenders can once again force their will on biological women.
