The administration of President Joe Biden draped a "Progress Pride" flag over the balcony of the White House as his government hosted the largest LGBT event on White House grounds.
On Saturday, June 10, the White House hosted "the largest Pride Month celebration ever held at the White House." Administration social media accounts posted pictures of hundreds of people on the South Lawn, including an outdoor stage with performers and a rainbow-colored arch made of balloons.

Created in 2018, the Progress Pride flag differs from the traditional LGBT flag with six horizontal rainbow stripes. This flag includes chevrons of black, brown, light blue, pink and white on the left side, meant to represent LGBT people of color and individuals who identify as transgender.
"Today, the People's House – your house – sends a clear message to the country and to the world. America is a nation of pride," said Biden on his official Twitter account.
In his speech during the event, Biden noted his intense support for LGBT-identifying and transgender-identifying children, and called LGBT people the "bravest" people he has ever known.
"You're some of the bravest and most inspiring people I've ever known. And I've known a lot of good folks," he said. "You set an example for the nation – and quite frankly the world."
"You know, we all move forward when we move together with your joy, with your pride lighting the way," Biden added. "So today, let us proudly remember who we are – the United States of America."
White House may have violated Flag Code
Biden's unfurling of the Progress Pride flag on the White House's balcony deeply upset and angered many conservatives for its disrespect toward the American flag.
"America has been humiliated, debauched and debased," said Stephen Miller, former advisor during the Trump administration. "A warning about how civilizations unravel from within."
"Not one American soldier fought and bled for this flag. Not one American taxpayer paid taxes to the government of this flag," noted conservative political commentator Ben Shapiro. "Not one law has been passed under a government elected under this flag. The ideological coup is complete."
"Government buildings should fly the flag of our nation, the flags of our military, the flags of the various states and the flags of the nations of visiting heads of state," noted The Daily Wire Co-CEO Jeremy Boreing. "All other flags are inappropriate."
"Joe Biden, the 'commander in chief,' defaced the American flag by flanking the alphabet cult flag at the White House today," said conservative political commentator Benny Johnson.
Furthermore, Biden's stunt may have violated the U.S. Flag Code.
Tom Fitton, president of the investigative journalism outlet Judicial Watch, noted that U.S. Flag Code section 7 states that: "The flag of the United States of America should be at the center and at the highest point of the group when a number of flags of States or localities or pennants of societies are grouped and displayed from staffs."
"To advance revolutionary transgender agenda targeting children, Biden violates (a) basic tenet of (the) U.S. Flag Code and disrespects every American service member buried under its colors," said Fitton.
"This is a disgrace," noted Republican Sen. Roger Marshall of Kansas. "Not only is it in breach of U.S. Flag Code, but it's a glaring example of the White House's incompetence and insistence on putting their social agenda ahead of patriotism."
