Canada: ISIS terrorist slashes victim’s throat; leaders whitewash Islam, media pushes ‘mental illness’
By News Editors // Apr 07, 2023

Canada’s leaders and media consistently act as an attorney to defend jihadis and the Islamic ideology that motivates these attacks.

On Saturday, April 1, 2023, Muslim Abdul Aziz Kawam used a knife to slash the throat of a passenger riding a bus in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. The victim fought back and managed to throw the suspect out of the back doors of the bus. Unfortunately, the victim has been left with life-threatening injuries.

The 28-year-old Muslim was arrested by the police and initially charged with attempted murder, but prosecutors added four counts of terrorism on Monday. He was charged with acting “for the benefit of, at the direction of, or in association with a terrorist group, to wit: the Islamic State [ISIS].” The addition of the terrorism charges means he could face a life sentence.

The court documents show that Kawam is also accused of assault in a separate case for allegedly attacking another person that same day with a knife at a bus stop.

Whitewashing Islam

According to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), the attack was motivated by “extremism” and was inspired by ISIS.

In a statement released by the RCMP, Assistant Commissioner Dwayne McDonald said, “The attack was inspired by the violent ideology of a terrorist organization, and it represents a serious threat to public safety and our way of life.”

The attack has been condemned by Canadian authorities, including open borders Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who called it a “senseless act of violence” and reaffirmed the country’s commitment to fighting “extremism and terrorism.”

As you can see by the police and Trudeau’s statements, leaders and law enforcement officers across the West continue to go to great lengths to label the Muslim terrorist as an “extremist” who perverted the Islamic religion. Compounding the problem is leftists like Canada’s Prime Minister, who are living in Western countries and do not allow any healthy discussion or reasonable concerns about Islam or Sharia. Instead, they act as attorneys to defend jihadis and the Islamic ideology that motivates attacks, as we just witnessed in Vancouver.

Mental Health Lie

News outlets and authorities in Canada quickly reported that Abdul Aziz Kawam could just be suffering from mental illness. This is a common tactic for protecting Muslims who kill or threaten non-Muslims. The left launches to the defense of the Jihadi and suggest they are likely suffering from “psychological issues.”

As previously reported at RAIR Foundation USA, in virtually every instance of jihad or migrant attacks in the Europe, politicians & media hide the identity of the attackers. However, in rare cases, when an attacker’s identity and citizenship status are leaked, the suspect is presented as possibly suffering from mental health issues. Unfortunately, the same tactic has made its way to Canada.

Islamic Terrorists Credit their Religion

Despite Canada’s leaders and media trying to defend Islam, Muslim terrorists worldwide all have one thing in common: They credit their motivation and success to religion.

The driving impulse of Abdul Aziz Kawam and terrorist groups like ISIS was religious in nature and not the act of an “extremist.” Their behavior and actions are part of their belief system, which allowed them to slaughter unbelievers en masse.

How can we ever defeat our enemy if we continue to pretend that terrorists were not motivated by Islamic doctrine and faith?
