"This appeal is nothing more than getting the Supreme Court to determine whether or not they violated their oath. I [got to] say it again because I know some of you think this is about the election," he said during the Dec. 19 episode of his Brighteon.TV program "Pass The Salt."
"It is not about an election. It is about making our elected officials accountable to the Constitution and doing the duty that they swore before God that they would do as we sit here in America today."
Daubenmire's remarks came amid a lawsuit filed by the four Brunson brothers of Utah against 388 elected officials who shirked their constitutional duties. The lawsuit filed by Loy, Raland, Deron and Gaynor Brunson named President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, former Vice President Mike Pence and 385 members of Congress as defendants.
According to the veteran high school football coach and founder of Pass The Salt Ministries, the brothers' lawsuit is now before the Supreme Court – with a hearing scheduled on Jan. 12, 2023. According to the Brighteon.TV host, the lawsuit filed by the Brunsons sought to investigate why the members of Congress failed to act on the complaints of their fellow lawmakers about the 2020 elections being rigged. He noted that members of Congress, by statute and oath to the Constitution, are required to do a simple investigation.
"They are obligated to at least do an investigation, which they refused to do by the way. This leads to dereliction of duty, violation of their oath of office, maybe six different constitutional violations that those representatives committed when they did not obey their oath of office."
Moreover, the refusal to hear and act on the complaint of 100 elected officials about the 2020 elections constituted a violation of their legal obligation. To solve this, Daubenmire remarked that the American people can ask the Supreme Court to do its job and hold elected officials who violate their oath of office and the Constitution accountable for their actions.
"All we are doing again is not asking anybody to overturn an election. We are asking the Supreme Court of the United States to hold our elected officials to their oath of office. They were by law required to do an investigation rather than just saying just ignore it," he said.
"It's not about an election. It's not about overturning an election. It's not about any of that. It's about the U.S. Supreme Court saying to the elected representatives, you also must follow the Constitution. That's what this is all about."
The Pass The Salt Ministries founder stated that the issue is not a Republican or Democratic issue, but an American one. Americans must petition their government for a redress of grievances, especially if their elected officials are violating their oath. "It's either the U.S. Constitution means something or nothing to Americans," he said.
