Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin tests positive for COVID again despite being vaccinated FOUR TIMES
By Ramon Tomey // Aug 16, 2022

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin tested positive for the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) a second time, even though he was injected with four doses of the clot shot.

In an Aug. 15 statement posted on the Department of Defense's (DoD) website, Austin said he tested positive for COVID-19 that morning and that he was "experiencing mild symptoms."

"I will retain all authorities and plan to maintain my normal work schedule virtually from home," said the top official, adding that he "will quarantine … for the next five days" as per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's COVID-19 guidelines. He first contracted COVID-19 in January, also with mild symptoms.

"As in January, my doctor told me that my fully vaccinated status, including two booster shots, is why my symptoms are less severe than would otherwise be the case. I will continue to consult closely with my doctor in the coming days."

According to Austin, his last in-person contact with President Joe Biden was on July 29. Incidentally, the commander-in-chief tested positive for COVID-19 eight days earlier on July 21. Since his last in-person contact with Biden, the head of the Pentagon traveled to the U.S. Africa Command headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany and met with U.S. troops and government officials in Latvia.

Charlie Dietz, public affairs officer at the Pentagon, said contract tracing has commenced, and that all of Austin's close contacts had been notified of the defense secretary's illness.

Austin's Aug. 15 announcement makes him the latest White House official to contract SARS-CoV-2.

Biden himself became COVID-positive on July 21, with mild symptoms. The quadruple-vaccinated president started taking the antiviral drug Paxlovid and subsequently tested negative on July 27. However, he experienced a rebound infection on July 30 – a day after his in-person interaction with the defense secretary.

Earlier, White House Chief Medical Advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci caught COVID-19 in June. The infectious disease expert reported "mild" symptoms, which he attributed to the four COVID-19 vaccine doses he received. Just like Biden, he took a course of Paxlovid that initially addressed his infection – only for his COVID-19 to return with a vengeance.

Austin's COVID-19 vaccine mandates undermine military readiness

Back in August 2021, Austin mandated that all military members receive the COVID-19 vaccine under penalty of termination.

"I, therefore, direct the secretaries of the military departments to immediately begin full vaccination of all members of the Armed forces under DoD authority … who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19," the secretary stated in an Aug. 25 memo.

However, the COVID-19 vaccines Austin ordered military members to get failed to protect him from contracting COVID-19. Worse, these lethal shots only caused vaccine injuries.

A July 2022 analysis by Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) warned that the military could lose $4 billion in training costs if it discharges 62,000 troops turning down the COVID-19 vaccine. Aside from monetary losses, the analysis warned that the military could lose thousands of man-years of experience, rank and grade.

"The Pentagon's absurd mandate for an experimental vaccine puts our national security at risk," said Gaetz. "Losing tens of thousands of soldiers during a time of recruitment shortages would be a catastrophe." (Related: Our nation's security is at risk due to Biden's illegal military vaccine mandate, experts warn.)

According to the U.S. Army, between $55,000 and $74,000 is spent on every recruit for initial training alone. With 62,000 soldiers facing termination over their refusal to comply with the Pentagon's vaccine mandate, it will take about $4 billion and a long period of time to replenish this loss. Furthermore, the number of military members to be axed for noncompliance is almost as big as the whole Canadian military – which has 68,000 troops.

"Despite the dubious efficacy of the vaccine in protecting the lives and readiness of our warfighters, the COVID-19 vaccine is still being required through coercion and force. If allowed to proceed uncontested, this threat presents a significant curtailing of unit manning and, therefore, readiness."
