But the problem is, the outbreak is nearly completely limited to men having gay sex.
According to a Queen Mary University of London study published in The New England Journal Of Medicine on Thursday, 98 percent of monkeypox is primarily found in gay or bisexual men.
The large study examined 528 infections that were diagnosed between April 27 and June 24 at 43 sites in 16 countries. According to the finding, “many, but not all, cases have been linked to men who have sex with men," the study found.

Citing the study, Infowars added: "Another interesting find was that 41 percent of the gay or bisexual men with monkeypox also had HIV. Lesions on patients were most commonly located near the genitals and the anus with the next most common areas being the trunk, arms or legs. Over half of the individuals in the study suffered from swollen lymph nodes and fever."
Though the findings of the study clearly indicated that the vast majority of monkeypox cases are concentrated in gay or bisexual men, researchers nevertheless felt compelled to include this: "Research is still underway to determine whether monkeypox is being sexually transmitted."
Because it's so anti-woke to point out an obvious fact because it involved a 'protected' class of person, the LGBTQ community.
In addition, the researchers also claimed that monkeypox is not "a gay disease" in spite of the rock-solid connection.
"It can affect anyone. We identified nine heterosexual men with monkeypox. We urge vigilance when examining unusual acute rashes in any person, especially when rashes are combined with systemic symptoms, to avoid missing diagnoses in heterosexual persons," the researchers wrote.
Nevertheless, the Western "mainstream media" has picked up the outbreak and is spreading it -- no pun intended -- as though it is a major pandemic in waiting.
"Monkeypox has continued to spread since the outbreak began in May. There have been over 14,500 recorded cases, with over 2,100 of those being in the United States," Newsweek reported over the weekend, citing the Queen Mary University study.
The report also downplayed the gay sex aspect.
"Monkeypox mainly spreads through direct, physical contact with an infected person. However, since this current outbreak began, many, but not all, cases have been linked to men who have sex with men -- the reason for this was not immediately clear," the outlet reported.
Not immediately clear? Newsweek then reported this: "However, the study has revealed that the most common area for the lesions were genitals and the anus, rather than the rest of the body. The next most common area for the lesions was the trunk, arms or legs.
Gay male sex acts, obviously, mostly involve the genitals and the anus -- how can it then not be "immediately clear" how monkeypox is concentrated primarily in the gay and bisexual male community?
The outlet's ridiculous report continued: "According to the study, some of those impacted by anal and oral symptoms were in so much pain they had to be admitted to hospital. The study noted that "this is why it's so important" to flag these new symptoms to health care authorities, so that they be better equipped to treat the virus.
"The study also urged that despite the virus affecting gay and bisexual men 'disproportionately,' it is 'no more a gay disease than it is an African disease.'"
Woke science and biology now require that we don't believe our eyes and deductive reasoning if a protected class of persons are affected.
