Researchers from Washington State University and the Technical University in Berlin declared that planets with "slightly warmer" temperatures, "with an ideal of about 5 degrees Celsius hotter than Earth," would contribute the "biggest improvement" to humanity's living conditions. Meanwhile, climate fanatics insist that humans living here on Earth need to stop eating meat and start paying their climate taxes in order to prevent a supposedly "catastrophic" 2 degrees Celsius increase in global temperatures.
"The new study looked for worlds that would be even more likely to foster life than our own – including those that are older, bigger, warmer and wetter than Earth – in the hope of informing future searchers for life elsewhere in the universe," the study explains.
"Researchers have found some 24 planets that are 'superinhabitable,' offering conditions more suitable for life than they are here on Earth."
Commenting on the study, Climate Depot's Marc Morano pointed out that a 2018 study called "Hothouse Earth," published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences journal, came to the opposite conclusion. That allegedly scientific paper determined that Earth is "dangerously close" to reaching "unstoppable" global warming.
"The scientists warned the global warming tipping point to an uninhabitable 'hothouse Earth' was 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels," Morano notes.
"'Fundamental societal changes' to create a 'stabilized Earth' are needed, according to the study's press release. But relax, now we are being told to forget about 2 degrees C warmer, and seek out planets that are 5 C warmer! Is this settled science!?"
Besides the fact that global warming was already declared to be over nearly a decade ago, this latest study defies all logic and consistency within the framework of the official climate change narrative.
We wonder if it is now a good thing for the Earth to be warming, based on this latest study, or is it still a bad thing? Will "science" update the "facts" and keep us all abreast of what comes next?
The seeming answer to both of these questions is bad and no, respectively. There is hardly a chance in Hades that the climate lobby will admit to spreading confusing disinformation, all the while fear-mongering about an unproven "warming" phenomenon that we are now being told would actually make the planet a better place to live.
Hilariously, the new narrative is that Earth as it currently exists in its "cooler" state is not an ideal place for humanity to thrive. The colder regions of our world are apparently too much for many humans to handle, which is thus why the climate lobby is now looking for new planets on which to live.
But if Earth is already in the process of warming, then why not help it along by emitting more greenhouse gases in order to turn every region of the world into a comfortable, Caribbean-like paradise? Would this not make more sense than trying to look for an Earth replacement?
"With the next space telescopes coming up, we will get more information, so it is important to select some targets," noted Dirk Schulze-Makuch, one of the study's lead authors who would rather find a warmer planet than Earth on which to live.
"We have to focus on certain planets that have the most promising conditions for complex life," he added. "However, we have to be careful to not get stuck looking for a second Earth because there could be planets that might be more suitable for life than ours."
