Over the past couple of decades, however, a phenomenon has developed that seems very much at odds with the current “Black Lives Matter” movement: Chicago has become the American epicenter for black genocide, as shootings have skyrocketed and the deaths of black men, women and children have become epidemic in recent years.
Successive Democrat mayors have done little to quell the violence or stop the genocide. They offer condolences, sometimes anger, and always excuses — but never solutions, which is why nothing ever improves in many black Chicago neighborhoods.
You might think that the current mayor of Chicago, Lori Lightfoot, who is black, would have dedicated herself to improving the lives and safety of black Chicago residents regularly targeted, wounded and killed by members of their own community.
But you’d be wrong. In fact, during Lightfoot’s tenure, shootings and gun homicides resulting from black-on-black crime have skyrocketed, turning portions of the Windy City into a racial shooting gallery no one seems to want to deal with.
No one, that is, except President Donald Trump.
The president has offered to send Lightfoot federal resources to help her protect her streets and her vulnerable communities from being preyed upon by armed thugs who have no respect for human life. But instead of taking the president up on his offer, she has instead taken to hurling racist insults at his administration.
Last week, Kayleigh McEnany, the White House spokeswoman, noted Lightfoot’s refusal during a press conference, adding that she was being “derelict” in her duty to protect Chicagoans.
“The President has routinely acknowledged and expressed the absolute atrocity of the case of George Floyd, and his heart goes out to that family still,” she said.
“But one point he wants to strongly make is this: that black men and women who die of homicide, they’re likely to die of homicide at eight times greater than that of white individuals and Hispanics combined. That’s the rate combined. So that’s an extraordinary thing that we want to look at,” McEnany continued. (Related: American “city refugees” fleeing urban areas to escape collapse, destruction.)
“I’ve listed for you the names of these kids who have died across this country. It is unacceptable, and under this President, he’ll take action. And the derelict mayor of Chicago should step up and ask for federal help because she’s doing a very poor job at securing her streets.”
That earned McEnany this rebuke from Lightfoot: “Hey, Karen. Watch your mouth.”
Nice, huh? The administration offers to help, she refuses, then insults.
The term “Karen” is considered racist in certain contexts. The Urban Dictionary defines “Karen” as “[t]he stereotypical name associated with rude, obnoxious and insufferable middle aged white women.”
Lightfoot has come under intense criticism — as had her predecessor, Rahm Emanuel — for failing to stop the violence in the city’s streets, which is concentrated in African American and Latino neighborhoods.
This isn’t the first time Lightfoot has been rude, crude and socially unacceptable. Earlier, in response to President Donald Trump’s criticism of looting in her city following the George Floyd incident, she responded, “I will code what I really want to say to Donald Trump. It’s two words: It begins with F and ends with you.”
Meanwhile, Lightfoot’s city is in chaos. Eighteen officers were injured trying to protect a statue of Christopher Columbus that culturally brain-dead ‘protesters’ were trying to tear down over the weekend, WGN news reported.

Yes, this is Lori Lightfoot doing a bang-up job with ‘her’ city: Allowing thugs, rioters and anarchists free shots at her police officers.
As for McEnany, she didn’t take Lightfoot’s insult lying down.
“While you‘re focused on words, America is outraged by the violence perpetuated in your city. One person is taking action to stop violence in our streets: President @realDonaldTrump. He’s offered your city help. It’s a dereliction of duty not to take it,” she said, doubling down.

Like other major U.S. cities, Chicago is crumbling. At some point, it won’t be worth saving.
