Anyone still clinging to the notion that the Black Lives Matter movement is just some peaceful process to effect change in our country, Mahatma Ghandi-style, there isn’t a day that goes by now where that notion is proven wrong.
What’s more, BLM-related violence is now spreading to cities around the country not at all known for wanton Left-wing violence.
Like Provo, Utah.
About 100 BLM protesters gathered in the city on Saturday as part of the group’s ongoing reminder to America that Minneapolis resident George Floyd was horribly killed by a bad cop, as if rational people still don’t ‘get’ that.
But the protests, once again, turned ugly and then violent when demonstrators tried blocking a vehicle from passing — a right they don’t have or, at least, they’re not supposed to have.
Protesting is First Amendment stuff. Blocking traffic — a person’s freedom of movement — is not only unconstitutional, it’s illegal in many places.
But, according to video of the incident, the driver would not be hemmed in by raging lunatics, so he began pushing his way past them.
At least two gunshots can be heard in the short video clip below.
Another view shows that one masked person, likely a male, pointed a handgun into the vehicle and fired.

Also, notice at the end of the clip that another lunatic appears to be pointing a handgun at the white SUV as it cleared the crowd and sped away (do these fools seriously forget that everyone has a camera phone these days?).
One protester, Betsy Croft, who said she witnessed the incident with the white SUV, claimed that there were "three to four cars that have been trying to run into the groups of people that are congregating at the main intersections in Provo,” then added, incredulously, “This is a peaceful protest so that kind of action is unwarranted and clearly an attempt to be violent.”
Firing into a vehicle and then pointing another handgun at the same vehicle as it sped away is not ‘peaceful protesting.’ It’s domestic terrorism — and where are all the Left-wing mainstream media types decrying this violence? Protests against police brutality in Provo took a tense turn Monday night as a white Ford Excursion pushed through a line of protesters blocking traffic at the intersection of North University and Center Street and a gunshot was reported.
Roughly 100 people took to Center Street on Monday protesting police brutality, the latest demonstration in weeks of protests across the Beehive state. However, what demonstrators say was a peaceful protest appeared to turn violent, with protesters claiming multiple cars tried to ram into them and Provo police investigating the gunshot report.
Yes, let’s get the ‘peaceful protest’ narrative right up front because we’re Left-wing ideologues who are soulmates with the anarchists and then bury the part about someone firing a gun into the same vehicle and injuring the driver way down in the story.
“Another video by KSL-TV shows what appears to be a man in a mask pointing a gun at the passenger side of the white Excursion as it pushes forward. A loud popping sound is heard and a flash is seen from the barrel of the gun,” the seventh paragraph said, adding a detail to the story that should have been part of the lead.
Still later in the story the paper reports that these ‘peaceful protesters’ were “jumping on cars and hitting windows” as people who have a right to be driving on the streets tried to get through.
It’s going to be a long, hot summer of unrest because the Left has decided that is the best way to beat President Trump, apparently.
