Pelosi introduces “Iran protection act” to defend terrorists and blame Trump, even when Dems did NOTHING while Obama killed enemies
By JD Heyes // Jan 07, 2020

On Monday, conservative talk radio behemoth Rush Limbaugh reminded listeners that Democrats who are criticizing President Donald Trump over his decision to take out one of our country’s biggest enemies are showing all of us just who they really are.

He noted:

So what happened? The president kills a well-known terrorist who is responsible for the death of hundreds of Americans, including uniformed military personnel, and the left melts down. The left has a breakdown. If anybody is puzzled by this, all you have to do is go back to when Trump came down the escalator on June 15th of 2016 and announced his slogan Make America Great Again. Remember how controversial that was?

The point he was making is this: Democrats hate America as it was founded, they’ve always hated America, and now they’re just open and brazen about it, claiming that ‘Trump is responsible for our transition.’

But by their actions they defy their own explanations.

It’s one thing to oppose the president on political and policy issues. Democrats have constituents too, after all — people who voted for them to represent them a certain way on key issues.

However, it’s something else entirely to put our country at risk then couch your actions in ‘political opposition.’

On Monday following President Trump’s order to target Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani, former head of the Quds Force, responsible for thousands of deaths and maiming of Americans, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi sent a letter to her unhinged caucus explaining that she would be introducing a resolution to tie the president’s hands when it comes to dealing with Iran.

As The National Sentinel reported:

She also accused the Trump administration of taking “provocative and disproportionate” action against the Iranian general, Soleimani, who actually took “provocative and disproportionate” action in Iraq when he was supplying insurgents with Iranian-made weapons to kill American troops.

‘That blood is in Iran’s hands’

In addition, Pelosi said in her letter that the resolution would “mandate that if no further Congressional action is taken, the Administration’s military hostilities with regard to Iran cease within 30 days.”

We like to call this the “Iran Protection Act” because for all intents and purposes, that’s what it is.

That’s all it is. And it’s a disgrace.

Trump, by his actions targeting Soleimani, is actually trying to prevent a war. In Soleimani’s killing, which also resulted in the deaths of several other top Iranian military commanders, the president sent the Iranian regime an unmistakable message: The days of putting up with Iranian aggression and provocations is over.

According to an analysis published in Arab News, Soleimani’s death “leaves Iran’s strategy” to dominate the region “in tatters.”

“The killing of Quds Force Commander Qassim Soleimani and Iraqi paramilitary leader Abu-Mahdi Al-Muhandis changes everything. With one fell blow Trump has taken out the two dominant figures exporting Iranian militancy across the region,” Baria Alamudden wrote.

Also, Soleimani and the militant minions he used as Iranian proxies have been targeting Americans and American interests for nearly two decades. In 2015, CNS News reported that a U.S. Marine general blamed Soleimani for 14 percent of U.S. troop fatalities in Iraq.

“According to the [U.S.] Central Command, at least 196 U.S. service members were killed in Iraq by Iranian-made explosive-formed penetrators (EFPs) from 2003 to 2011,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said during a Senate Judiciary subcommittee hearing.

He added that around the same time Marine Gen. Joseph Dunford testified that about 500 U.S. troops in sum were killed “by Iranian activities.”

“That blood is in Iran’s hands,” the general said.

That Left-wing Democrats like Pelosi are attempting to tie the president’s hands in dealing with Iran after ignoring the way in which their President enabled and empowered that murderous regime for eight years is the textbook definition of ‘providing aid and comfort’ to an enemy.
