One of the most current and outrageous lies has to do with transgendered individuals: We’re being told that they are killed and/or hurt much more frequently, per capita, than non-transgendered Americans.
Flat out, that’s a lie — and new research data prove it.
First, the hoax. During one of the Democratic Party presidential debates last month, a pandering Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, her campaign flagging, made a solemn pledge: If she manages to miracle her way into the presidency, she’s going to amble out onto the White House lawn once a year and recite out loud the names of transgendered Americans who were killed the previous year.
Now would be a good time to roll your eyes and say something like, “Oh, brother.”
“Dying White Trans” is a ‘thing’ on the Left now, thanks to the proliferation of this hoax by journalistically unethical people in the “mainstream” media. There has been no shortage of stories claiming there is an “epidemic” of murders of transgendered Americans.
Worse, the phony baloney corporate medical industry is getting in on the act of perpetuating this lie. The American Medical Association has now labeled it an “epidemic” as well, The American Conservative (TAC) reports.
The site notes further:
According to the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the leading LGBT lobby, 22 trans persons have been murdered so far in 2019. One is too many, but to put this in perspective, in 2018, there were over 16,200 murders in the US. In my medium-sized city alone in 2019, there have already been 75 homicides — over three times the “epidemic” of trans murders. Nobody is talking about an “epidemic” of murder in Baton Rouge.
So in other words, applying the term “epidemic” to the small number of murders involving transgendered Americans is all political. It’s 100 percent propaganda, being utilized solely to advance a political agenda and narrative that, like “Trump-Russia collusion,” is a complete fabrication.
Earlier this year, The New York Times, no less, perpetuated the lie by claiming “many advocates say hostility” against transgendered people has “intensified,” adding the unsubstantiated claim that additional coverage of each incident is leading to more violence against transgenders.
So in essence, if that’s true, then the Times and publications like it are responsible for harming transgenders with their outsized, irrational, breathless coverage…right?
In any event, who are these “advocates,” and what else would they say? They’re advocates; they ‘advocate’ for policies and laws favorable to transgenders. They do this by manufacturing claims about how transgenders are being singled out for harm while overemphasizing actual incidents of harm and murder.
But as The American Conservative notes, the ‘advocates’ cited by the Times “include several Democratic presidential candidates” — Kamala Harris (though she has since dropped out), Cory Booker, and Julian Castro. And, of course, Warren.
In November, the Human Rights Campaign released a report on “the epidemic of anti-transgender violence.” In it, the group cited some stats about the 22 trans people who have been killed: 91 percent were black women; 81 percent were under the age of 30; and 68 percent lived in the South.
So, nine of 10 trans people are black, huh? Of course that’s not true. But guess who is disproportionately represented in homicide stats, both as victims and killers? Black males under 30.
But okay, we’ll play. After a little digging, TAC noted that most of the trans people murdered were street prostitutes — pretty dangerous work.
Yet, “the Trans-Industrial Complex is creating 100 percent propaganda out of their deaths,” the site noted.
A transgender murder “epidemic?” Not so. It’s just another Left-wing lie.
