We already knew that Hunter Biden, the former VP’s son, was hired as a board member and “adviser” by a Ukrainian gas firm, Burisma, that was under investigation for corruption.
We also know that Joe Biden threatened to withhold a billion dollars in loan guarantees from Ukraine in 2015 unless that government fired the prosector conducting the probe. We know that because Biden himself bragged about getting the prosecutor fired last year during a conference hosted by the Council on Foreign Relations.
And we know that while Joe Biden was shaking down Ukraine, Russia was busy snatching the Crimea from Kiev as well as backing an anti-government insurgency in the Donbas region.
What we didn’t know — until now — is that Joe Biden was allegedly getting some payola himself, the same as his son, according to a Ukrainian member of parliament, to the tune of $900,000 in laundered money.
As per the Interfax-Ukraine News Agency:
Former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden received $900,000 for lobbying activities from Burisma Group, Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada member Andriy Derkach said citing investigation materials.
Derkach publicized documents which, as he said, “describe the mechanism of getting money by Biden Sr.” at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine’s press center in Kyiv on Wednesday.
“This was the transfer of Burisma Group’s funds for lobbying activities, as investigators believe, personally to Joe Biden through a lobbying company. Funds in the amount of $900,000 were transferred to the U.S.-based company Rosemont Seneca Partners, which according to open sources, in particular, the New York Times, is affiliated with Biden. The payment reference was payment for consultative services,” Derkach said. (Related: It’s ON: The deep state plot to install Hillary Clinton as PRESIDENT this year, bypassing elections altogether.)
In addition, Derkach noted that funds were also transferred to other Burisma Group representatives including Hunter Biden.
He then directly accused Joe Biden of abusing his power as vice president in threatening Ukraine.
“Using political and economic levelers of influencing Ukrainian authorities and manipulating the issue of providing financial aid to Ukraine, Joe Biden actively assisted closing criminal cases into the activity of former Ukrainian Ecology Minister Mykola Zlochevsky, who is the founder and owner of Burisma Group,” said Derkach.
“Biden’s fifth visit to Kiev on December 7-8, 2015 was devoted to making a decision on the resignation of [then Ukrainian Prosecutor General] Viktor Shokin over the case of Zlochevsky and Burisma. Loan guarantees worth $1 billion that the United States was to give to Ukraine was the point of pressure. Biden himself admitted exerting pressure in his speech at the Council of Foreign Relations in January 2018, calling Shokin ‘son of a bitch who was fired’,” he added.
Again, Biden admits doing this on video. And according to Interfax-Ukraine, the timeline of events is proof that the Obama regime linked the Zlochevsky case to the $1 billion in loan guarantees.
Derkach notes that the facts of the case warrant further investigation, and that the Ukrainian government has the means to do so.
In fact, as investigative reporter John Solomon notes, Kiev began investigating Joe-Hunter Biden corruption in April after receiving a request to do so in February.
This is important because, as Solomon notes, it destroys Democrats’ claim that President Trump used a July phone call with Ukrainian President Zelensky to “threaten” him with loss of U.S. military assistance if he didn’t start investigating the Bidens.
“This was long before the president ever imagined to have a call with President Zelensky. In fact it’s before President Zelensky was even elected. This is a significant shift in the factual timeline. This is information that was omitted from the whistleblower’s complaint,” investigative reporter and Fox News contributor John Solomon told Sean Hannity Tuesday night.
