On August 28, another liberal media site, Buzzfeed, went after The Federalist by doxxing (revealing information about online)  one of their supporters, which the site's publisher Ben Domenech warned his Twitter followers about the day before, stating "Tomorrow a blog will attempt to doxx one of our supporters. Not a big one - we have no big money supporters. They will do this because they want to shut us down. We know where it came from. Very fitting to come after us this of all weekends. Says a lot."

ESTABLISHMENT MEDIA & BIG TECH TEAM UP TO DESTROY INDEPENDENT MEDIA

In the original NBC News hit piece against The Epoch Times, they highlighted that the wielded "one of the biggest social media followings of any news outlet," highlighting their following and reach on social media, specifically Facebook. The NBC piece also whined about Epoch Times having "spent more than $1.5 million on about 11,000 pro-Trump advertisements in the last six months, according to data from Facebook’s advertising archive — more than any organization outside of the Trump campaign itself, and more than most Democratic presidential candidates have spent on their own campaigns."

While the initial attack of The Epoch Times backfired because countless readers that heard of the story decided to start subscribing to their product and decided to support them by becoming a regular reader, while other Independent Media websites like ANP gave them a permanent link on our front page, and encouraged their own readers to visit The Epoch Times, big tech, taking their cue from the liberal media, started attacking them as well.

"Vandals" started updating The Epoch Times Wikipedia page with various attacks from the NBC News smear job, and then Facebook, specifically mentioned in the initial NBC News piece, banned ads from The Epoch Times, which was gleefully reported by liberal media outlets like NBC News, the New York Times and Washington Post.

Likewise the New York Times attack against Western Journal also complained about the previous Facebook reach of The Western Journal, stating "Western Journal Facebook posts earned three-quarters of a billion shares, likes and comments, almost as many as the combined tally of 10 leading American news organizations that together employ thousands of reporters and editors."
