The story behind the accusations of sexual assault against Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh from 36 years ago when he was in high school is changing by the hour now as Internet sleuths and real investigative reporters digging into the story unearth new details.
Palo Alto Prof. Christine Blasey Ford, whose own background is as shady as her motivations for speaking up on the cusp of Kavanaugh’s successful Senate confirmation, has offered dubious information and unsubstantiated details surrounding the event including “eyewitnesses” who have vigorously denied her account or who have backtracked since coming out in support of them.
What’s more, it’s become clear that she’s never sought to be an “anonymous” figure in the Democratic effort to derail Kavanaugh’s much-deserved appointment to the highest court in the land. In an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity Thursday night, Trump ally Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., asked some important, poignant questions about Ford’s motivations.
"If Ms. Ford never intended to come forward or never planned to come forward, why did she pay for a polygraph in August and why did she hire a lawyer in August if she never intended to do what she is doing?" he said.

Now comes a cryptic report indicating that Kavanaugh is on the verge of being exonerated due to exculpatory evidence of some kind indicating that he has been misidentified – perhaps intentionally – from the outset.
Ed Whelan, a former clerk to the late (and great) Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia and current president of the Ethics and Public Policy Center (EPPC), a conservative think tank, wrote a series of tweets on Wednesday indicating that Kavanaugh has been wrongly accused, and there is evidence to prove it.
“By one week from today, I expect that Judge Kavanaugh will have been clearly vindicated on this matter. Specifically, I expect that compelling evidence will show his categorical denial to be truthful. There will be no cloud over him,” Whelan wrote in his first tweet.

He then followed with a series of tweets indicating that Ford’s accusations may have been made in good faith, even if they are misguided.
“Sexual assault is a terrible thing. Its victims suffer grievously. It's precisely b/c sexual assault is so terrible that it is deeply unjust when someone is mistakenly (even good-faith mistakenly) accused of having committed it. Everyone should rejoice when the mistake is found,” he continued.

Was Kavanaugh even at the same party?
Law & Crime’s Matt Naham noted that Whelen then tweeted out a link to a Yahoo! News story which reported that Kavanaugh told Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, that he wasn’t even at the party where Ford alleged he locked her in a room with friend Mark Judge, put his hand over her mouth to keep her quiet, then tried to sexually assault her – all while in a drunken stupor (all allegations Kavanaugh has vigorously denied, by the way).

In a statement released by Sen. Orrin Hatch's office, Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh told Hatch he was not at a party like the one Christine Blasey Ford described and that Dr. Ford 'may be mistaking him for someone else.'
It was also not picked up by the “mainstream” media and disseminated widely – because the media works as the Democratic Party’s propaganda wing and thus doesn’t want Kavanaugh the Constitutionalist anywhere near the Supreme Court.
After Whelan’s initial tweets he followed them up with a theory that Ford misidentified Kavanaugh and is confusing him with another student who looks like Kavanaugh, and whom he tweeted out a photograph of late Thursday. Ford responded: “There is zero chance that I would confuse them.”
Maybe so but given Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s involvement in this from the outset, there is also zero chance that this is anything but a Democrat ploy to delay or, preferably, derail Kavanaugh’s confirmation.
