Following the clown show Democrats and their sycophantic supporters staged during the recent Senate Judiciary Committee’s hearings to consider POTUS Donald Trump’s naming of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the high court, out of time and out of options they decided to rely on an oldie but, in the past, a goodie: A sex scandal.
Here’s the plot:
According to reports, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., allegedly was sent a letter by an unnamed woman from her state earlier this summer alleging that Kavanaugh, at a high school event, attempted to force himself on her in a room as a male friend looked on and stood guard, even going so far as to turn up music so that her protests could not be heard.
“I have received information from an individual concerning the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court,” she said in a statement. “That individual strongly requested confidentiality, declined to come forward or press the matter further, and I have honored that decision. I have, however, referred the matter to federal investigative authorities.”
Got that? An anonymous woman who requested anonymity, so she could anonymously send a letter on the sly to a partisan Democratic senator, only so she could then stay out of the limelight, not be identified, and request that Feinstein not do anything with the information.
So she gave the letter to the FBI – which promptly refused to investigate.
Now we ask you: What kind of sense does that make?
Nevertheless, you can bet that the usual media suspects ran with the story anyway because A) Trump hate; and B) Kavanaugh’s the anti-abortion devil.
“Sexual allegation against Kavanaugh referred to FBI by top Democrat,” NBC News blared. There were others, but you get the drift. (Related: Dems pulling last minute FBI stunt to thwart Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination.)
According to the Intercept, the woman who is the subject of Feinstein’s secret letter “is now being represented by Debra Katz, a whistleblower attorney who works with #MeToo survivors. Joseph Abboud, an attorney at Katz’s firm, said that the firm was declining to comment.”
So, we’ve now gone from, “No, I don’t want anyone to know who I am,” to, “I am getting a lawyer because…well, because it makes my claim (that I didn’t want Feinstein to tell anyone about – or maybe I did) look that much more credible.”
This is the very same tactic Democrats used in their attempt to slander and fend off another constitutionalist nominee: Justice Clarence Thomas. He was accused by Hill of sexual harassment, it was proven that she (and the Democrats) lied about it.
Think about it: Kavanaugh has been in government working for conservative (well, sort of – the Bush administration) and right-leaning administrations for years. He’s a known constitutionalist and he’s been in the federal judiciary since 2006; why is this allegation only now surfacing?
For the record, Kavanaugh didn’t just deny the allegation he vehemently denied it. “Categorically,” even.
“I categorically and unequivocally deny this allegation,” Kavanaugh said in a statement released by the White House, The Daily Caller reported. “I did not do this back in high school or at any time.”
Mind you, Kavanaugh has been vetted frequently, and not just by the FBI but by subsequent administrations. There is no way an allegation like this doesn’t get unearthed during those vetting processes. And if nothing else, Kavanaugh – well aware of the crap storm he was stepping into – would have taken himself out of consideration for the SCOTUS appointment had this allegation been true.
The Democrats have no plan for governing America. They have no credibility. They have no substance. They have no morals. All the party has to offer is socialism and hate; good luck campaigning on that.
