POTUS Donald Trump’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin last week has driven the Left-wing establishment media and its commentariat, along with congressional Democrats and some Republicans, absolutely bonkers.
Amid absurd allegations of “treason” and “traitor,” the establishment is attempting to create the false narrative that POTUS Trump has somehow sold out his soul (and the country) to the Russian dictator, ‘proving,’ of course, that our president was always in ‘Putin’s pocket.’
Nothing could be further from the truth. While very few people know what was said during Trump’s private meetings with Putin — which were very private because he was concerned about leaks (and justifiably so) — to assert that “Make America Great Again” Trump really is a Moscow sell-out is just lunacy.
That aside, what’s also lunacy is the fact that the same Left-wing media establishment now roasting POTUS Trump over his attempts to improve relations with a well-armed nuclear power are memory-holing those times when the Obama administration made very similar efforts to improve ties with Vladimir Putin’s Russia.
As Infowars founder Alex Jones notes, none other than Obama’s first secretary of state, Hillary “Reset Button” Clinton, has recently gone on record hammering the current administration over the Trump-Putin summit in Helsinki, but of course, she got very cozy with the Russian authoritarian during her tenure.
Jones notes that in Clinton’s now-forgotten 2014 book, “Hard Choices,” which she attempted to use as a springboard to announcing her expected candidacy from the Democratic Party presidential nomination, the two-time loser “talked about her deep bonding personally in private, secret meetings that she only reveals in the book with Vladimir Putin.”
Researching it further, Jones noted that in her position as the nation’s top diplomat she signed off on at least six waivers for husband and former President Bill Clinton so he could also meet “secretly with Vladimir Putin.” (Related: GOP lawmaker: Rod Rosenstein ‘may be under investigation’ for his supervision of Uranium One case.)
In her book, Clinton wrote that she and Putin thawed U.S.-Russia relations over discussions regarding his work to save Siberian tigers. And she noted that the Russian leader invited Bill Clinton to tag polar bears at one point, though that trip never came off.
So after she and husband Bill had all of this secret contact and interaction with Putin, Hillary now says that it’s POTUS Trump who ‘cant be trusted’ to do the right thing on America’s behalf regarding Russia.
And let’s not forget previously disclosed information tying the Clintons and the Clinton Foundation to Mother Russia:
— As secretary of state, Hillary was in a position to kill a deal allowing Moscow to obtain 20 percent of all U.S. uranium assets, a strategic holding given their importance in the construction of nuclear weapons and in sustaining nuclear power plants. In fact, as Natural News reported in February, William D. Campbell — an FBI witness in a corruption case surrounding the sale — said that the Russians “bragged that the Clinton’s influence in the Obama administration would ensure CIFUS (Committee on Foreign Investments in the United States) approve for [the] Uranium One deal.”
— As the deal progressed, $145 million flowed to the Clinton Foundation from nine investors in Uranium One.
— A Kremlin-tied Russian bank paid Bill Clinton a half-million dollars for a single speech at a time when Hillary was openly opposing new sanctions on Russia — an issue that came up (briefly) during her failed 2016 campaign.
“If you want to talk about having relationships with Russia, I’d look no further than the Clintons,” then-Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said during a press briefing in July 2017. “Bill Clinton was paid half a million dollars to give a speech to a Russian bank, personally thanked by President Putin.”
But of course, it’s POTUS Trump who is supposedly the Russian stooge.
