Rep. Maxine Waters, R-Calif., sparked righteous indignation and no shortage of anger from conservatives and supporters of POTUS Donald Trump in recent weeks when she encouraged her supporters to physically confront all members of the president’s administration when they are seen in public.
“If you think we’re rallying now, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet. Already, you have members of your Cabinet that are being booed out of restaurants who have protesters taking up at their house, who say, ‘No peace, no sleep. No peace, no sleep,’” she told supporters in late June, The National Sentinel reported.
“Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up and if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere!” she continued.
If that wasn’t a dog whistle call for violence, then there is no such thing.
Since then Waters has gotten pushback from Trump supporters and conservatives who are angry that not only has Congress failed to censure her (because Democrats are too consumed with Trump hate to do the right thing), but also because she’s been such a hypocrite when others have stepped up to challenge her right to live in peace.
In recent days Oath Keepers, whom most in the dishonest establishment media falsely describe as a “right-wing militia” organization, had planned to send members to her office in Los Angeles to protest and demonstrate against her.
Give her some of her own medicine, so to speak.
As The Washington Times reported, it turns out that the group didn’t send anyone to Waters’ L.A. office after all, but some of her supporters showed up instead and proceeded to prove why they — and Democrats in general — are accused by Republicans and Trump supporters of hating America. A small crowd that gathered Thursday outside the Los Angeles office of U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters to counter an expected protest by a self-styled militia group burned an American flag taken from the back of a pickup truck.
The incident happened after the far-right Oath Keepers group didn’t appear at the office after saying it would rally against the congresswoman.
A group of counter-protesters there to support Waters were chanting “black power” and other slogans when the pickup approached.
The Times said it appeared as though two whites were in the pickup; as it approached, some of Waters’ supporters opened the doors while others grabbed the flag which was flying on a pole in the bed of the truck.
They then proceeded to stomp on the flag and set it on fire while others cheered and one person shouted, “This is not the American flag, this is their flag.”
‘Their flag?’ Who’re they? Aren’t we all Americans? And if the flag wasn’t the American flag, whose was it?
On the Oath Keepers’ website, the group said the actions by Waters and her supporters “prove our point” about who and what they really are: UnAmerican, authoritarian, and racist.
Noting that it always consults with local police before any demonstration, the organization added that its members who were going to participate were told several dozen Waters supporters were already at her office, many armed with steel pipes and baseball bats. LAPD also informed members that two busloads more were staged — hiding — a couple blocks away, waiting to swoop in after Oath Keepers deployed.
“LAPD added that if a riot occurred, and we were attacked, the LAPD officers would withdraw and we would be on our own,” said the statement.
Violence is coming to our country. Pro-freedom, pro-liberty Americans are only going to back down from tyranny for so long.
