BUSTED: The Deep State’s Trump informant began spying before the FBI launched its investigation
By JD Heyes // May 21, 2018

In recent days it’s been reported that the FBI cultivated at least one and perhaps more ‘sources’ within the 2016 Trump campaign after the bureau had opened a counterintelligence investigation over alleged nefarious contacts between campaign team members and the Russian government.

The New York Times, for instance, reported that the bureau used an “informant” during its Russia investigation but not to “spy,” as President Donald J. Trump and his supporters claim.

The paper reported:

F.B.I. agents sent an informant to talk to two campaign advisers only after they received evidence that the pair had suspicious contacts linked to Russia during the campaign. The informant, an American academic who teaches in Britain, made contact late that summer with one campaign adviser, George Papadopoulos, according to people familiar with the matter. He also met repeatedly in the ensuing months with the other aide, Carter Page, who was also under F.B.I. scrutiny for his ties to Russia.

The Washington Post was also leaked a similar version of events — by some Deep State source that no doubt is attempting to get out ahead of this story before it breaks “officially” as part of Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s upcoming report, more than a year in the making that is likely to name names. In fact, Horowitz is reported to have already made criminal referrals to AG Jeff Sessions’ hand-picked U.S. attorney, John Huber, who is looking into Obama-era malfeasance.

But as Breitbart News reports, the dates the FBI claims to have launched its investigation — and the dates it claims its Trump campaign “source” (also known as a spy) — don’t add up.

First, the source. He appears to be Stefan Halper, a Cambridge professor and longtime fixture in Washington, D.C., who has worked for three GOP administrations and who also has links to British and U.S. intelligence.

Now, the dates.

FBI officials have reported that the bureau opened its investigation into Team Trump on July 31, 2016, after stolen Democratic National Committee emails were publicly released, which was July 22 of that year.

That release allegedly prompted Australian government officials to contact the bureau with information they had gotten from minor Trump campaign advisor George Papadopoulos some months earlier, as per a December 2017 Times article.

The problem with that account, however, is that the same informant (alleged to be Halper) had already approached Trump campaign official Carter Page at a Cambridge symposium on the U.S. presidential election in London on July 11-12, 2016. Page had been invited in June 2016 by an unnamed student at Cambridge pursuing a doctorate who also knew Halper, Breitbart noted.

“The timeline of events indicate that current and former officials lied about when their investigation of the Trump campaign started, and why,” Breitbart reported. (Related: Lies and spies: DEEP STATE had Team Trump under watch BEFORE official FBI investigation.)

Oddly enough, details about the informant began to be leaked to the Times and the Post once House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., started asking the Justice Department questions about him (or her) in April. Go figure.

Others attempted to reach out to various officials within the Trump campaign, and some reports have suggested that then-CIA Director John Brennan, a frequent critic of the president who some believe to be the ringleader of the entire spying operation, may have launched a secret probe of Team Trump in April 2016, though it’s not known what may have triggered it.

What’s most disturbing about all of this is that the Post and the Times are treating what Obama did to Trump’s campaign as a legitimate ‘national security’ counterintelligence investigation, when both papers know that the allegations of “collusion” and nefarious Russian connects are a complete fabrication to begin with.

Had George W. Bush done something like this, Trump’s supporters say, Democrats would be screaming from the tallest mountain for arrests and convictions.
