If your commitment to prepping ever wavers, consider how horrible it will be for the unprepared when SHTF

If you are a longtime reader of Natural News, you know how important it is to take the steps necessary to prepare for anything from an isolated survival scenario to complete societal collapse. But as important as it is, sometimes prepping can get a bit tiresome. You may find yourself asking, “Is this really worth all the trouble?” or “if I stop prepping, what’s the worst that can happen?” Thoughts like these are normal, but that doesn’t mean you should act upon them and stop prepping altogether. That would be a dangerous and potentially life-threatening mistake.

If your commitment to prepping is wavering or has wavered in the past, consider an article that was recently published on SHTFPlan.com and then later on ReadyNutrition.com that poses the following question: How horrific will it be for the non-prepper?

“The misery from long-term unemployment and lack of money is like a walk in the park compared to the severe anguish and dangerous conditions that await those who have failed to prepare for the aftermath of a large scale cataclysm,” the article says.

This is an extremely valid point that you should always keep in mind – no matter how many challenges life throws at you, it’s nothing compared to how difficult things will get if you find yourself in a survival scenario unequipped and unprepared. While it’s easy to see how people can get caught up in the struggles of day-to-day life and begin focusing less on how bad things could be in the aftermath of large scale cataclysm, it’s important to continuously remind yourself of the potential dangers you could face when SHTF. The article then goes on to list a number of things that non-preppers will likely face in the event that society collapses and they suddenly find themselves fighting for their survival. Some of these things on the list include:

  • Calling 911 in the event of an emergency will most likely be met with silence or a recording telling the caller to remain calm. No help will be provided from law enforcement.
  • Having no food will force the non-prepper to beg for food or possibly even do other unspeakable acts (like sacrificing their bodies, for example) just to get a bite to eat.
  • Because the non-prepper won’t have any food stored up, they will likely have to dig through the most rancid conditions of garbage just to find sustenance.
  • The non-prepper will be forced to live in primitive conditions because they didn’t surround themselves with things that would make life more bearable in the event that SHTF.
  • Following a SHTF event, the non-prepper won’t have the tools necessary to treat the sicknesses that their body will inevitable be faced with.
  • Chances are the non-prepper’s family will also be unprepared for a SHTF event, meaning that the non-prepper will be forced to watch his loved ones suffer.
  • The non-prepper will likely be shocked at how much barbarism occurs after society collapses, and they will wish that they had taken the time to purchase firearms and stock up on ammunition.
  • The non-prepper will have a difficult time seeing in the dark because they didn’t take the time to stock up on survival flashlights and batteries.
  • The non-prepper will sadly be unable to watch society rebuild itself as he or she will likely perish before that even begins to happen.

Prepping can be difficult and quite time consuming if you want to do it right, but giving up on it could be the biggest mistake of your life.
