The View’s Joy Behar refers to Bill Clinton’s rape victims as ‘tramps’, demeans women

Liberal, progressive, Democrat-leaning celebrities constantly berate, belittle and bemoan anyone who dares to deliver truth bombs on target regarding their favored politicians, and that’s largely because they know they can get away with it. The lamestream “establishment” media is so demonstrably in the tank for Democrats, as established by recent WikiLeaks data dumps, they cover for their own when they say such things.

But once in a while a liberal celebrity says something so over-the-top and inappropriate that they are at least reduced to a customary apology. Joy Behar, a co-host of daytime Left-wing female gabfest “The View,” is the latest to issue one, this time for calling the women who have accused former President Bill Clinton of rape and sexual abuse “tramps.”

As reported by The Hill, Behar apologized Tuesday on the show. “I want to apologize,” she said. “I never, ever intend to belittle sexual assault and the women who are victims of it ever. … I made a joke. … I’m sorry.”

During the Monday show, Behar interjected after co-host Sunny Hostin said Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton “missed the opportunity” during Sunday’s second debate with GOP nominee Donald J. Trump to address allegations from Juanita Broaddrick, Paula Jones and Kathleen Willey.

“I would like to apologize to those tramps who have slept with my husband,” Behar said. “Maybe she should have said that.”

Actually, maybe ABC – which airs “The View” – ought to apologize to the women who were degraded and make amends by tossing Behar out on her rear end. We won’t hold our breath, though, and neither should you.

Needless to say, the comment sparked reaction. Juanita Broaddrick – who has repeatedly claimed that she raped and assaulted in 1978 by, then Attorney General of Arkansas, Bill Clinton – tweeted, “On The View today Joy Behar referred to Bill Clinton’s victims as “tramps”- shame on you Joy – shame on you.”

Willey and Jones have both accused Clinton of sexual assault and harassment. And while Clinton has never been charged in any sex-related crimes, he was impeached by the House of Representatives in 1998 for lying to a grand jury about having sexual relations with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky. Also, he was forced to settle (out of court) a lawsuit brought by Jones in the 1990s for $850,000. Willey was called to testify in that case.

Behar knew exactly what she was saying when she said it. That’s because her instinct – and the instinct of every other Left-wing “celebrity”– is always, first and foremost, to trash anyone who dares to speak truth to power about members of their preferred political party.
