Higher tuition costs pushing college students into prostituting themselves

Like it or not, more college students are “prostituting themselves” on “sugar baby/daddy” websites to address the rising cost of college education. And the idea of graduating college debt-free is being seen as the main reason as to the rise of such websites.

Though most college students still have part time jobs, figures have shown that a regular college student graduates with at least $35,000 in debt, and that it would take him/her almost 15 years to pay it off.

Another statistic shows that for the school year of 2014–15, the collective debt of graduates peaked at around $70 billion. The total debt of U.S. college students is at a mind boggling $1.3 trillion.

SeekingArrangement.com, one of the top sugar baby/daddy websites with more than 1 million users, justifies its online presence as: “Where beautiful, successful people fuel mutually beneficial relationships.”

During a Sky News interview, SeekingArrangement.com founder Brandon Wade said that his site was not promoting escort services, but rather merely enabling “sugar babies” to “upgrade their lifestyle.”

Wade further said:

Sex was never expected, but it is aspired to and that the website had led to countless marriages worldwide. You want to find somebody who is well educated, who can provide for you financially, you know it’s sort of the Disney dream so to say.

Though the owner denies that the arrangement/relationship between sugar baby and sugar daddy usually ends in sex, Sky News was able to interview a 62-year old married man.

“I wouldn’t be able to meet girls as young and as beautiful as this through an ordinary dating website”. “Sex is an integral part of the site”.

In related news, it is estimated that 40,000 public school teachers are also believed to be supplementing their income as sugar babies.
