Hacker known as ‘Guccifer 2.0’ strikes again, steals and publishes cell numbers, email addresses for most Democrat House members

The last few weeks have not been good for members of the Democratic Party.

Just days ago a hacker who identifies as “Guccifer 2.0” provided the whistleblower web site WikiLeaks with 20,000 very incriminating emails that laid bare the party’s scheming plans to take out presidential contender Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., to ensure a coronation victory for the party’s chosen one, Hillary Clinton – whose campaign was also hacked.

Now, in a post to his WordPress blog, the cyber vandal has uploaded an Excel file that contains the cell phone numbers and private email addresses of nearly every single member of the House of Representatives, The Smoking Gun reported.

In addition, the file contains similar contact information for hundreds of congressional staff members and aides, including chiefs of staff and press secretaries, along with schedulers, legislative directors and even campaign workers.

In making the announcement for the leaking of the document, Guccifer 2.0 noted that the spreadsheet was lifted during a hack of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC).

“As you can see,” the hacker wrote, “I wasn’t wasting my time! It was even easier than in the case of the [Democratic National Committee] breach.”

Besides the Excel file, Guccifer 2.0 also uploaded documents including the account names and passwords for several subscription services used by the DCCC, from the Lexus Nexus search site to conservative media personality Glenn Beck’s The Blaze web site (password: ‘nutbag’).

Guccifer 2.0 claims to be Romanian – an “unknown hacker with a laptop” – but cybersecurity investigators say they have concluded he is part of a Russian intelligence operation that is targeting the DNC, Hillary Clinton’s campaign staffers and some Republicans, including Sens. John McCain of Arizona and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, as well as former U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann.

In a separate message, Guccifer 2.0 described the U.S. presidential election as a “farce,” claiming it is “being settled behind the scenes as it was with Bernie Sanders” – something that GOP presidential nominee Donald J. Trump has also claimed.

Continuing, the hacker added, “I wonder what happened to the true democracy, to the equal opportunities, the things we love the United States for. The big money bags are fighting for power today. They are lying constantly and don’t keep their word. The MSM [mainstream media] are producing tons of propaganda hiding the real stuff behind it. But I do believe that people have a right to know what’s going on inside the election process in fact.”

In recent days, Left-wing media pundits online, on the radio and on cable news channels have been commenting openly about their concern over a potential “October surprise” – an email and document dump, perhaps, that will show Clinton, as secretary of state, essentially sold access and advantages to special interests and governments in exchange for donations to the Clinton Family Foundation.

What makes the fretting interesting is that by openly stating how concerned they are, they are in a sense saying that Clinton indeed has something to hide – something damaging enough that they believe it might spell the end of her chances to win the White House.
