Woody Harrelson destroys the myth of our current political system: “I am really not a believer in big government”

It’s no secret that Hollywood is filled with liberals and leftists — people who want to push their agendas at all costs. Even those who aren’t politically aligned with anything left-wing are forced to pretend to be as to not ruin their careers. We see this all the time with actors and filmmakers who dare to stand up to Hollywood’s authoritarian left-wing views.

Thankfully, we have people like Woody Harrelson who aren’t deterred by this and continue to speak freely about their political ideology.

In an interview with The Guardian, Harrelson stated, “[I] am really not a believer in big government. If you mention big government, that sends up a lot of red flags.”

It’s quite a far cry from the pandering lunacy we usually hear from those in the entertainment industry. Harrleson is completely candid about how corrupt he believes the current system of government to be, claiming that it’s just a bunch of businessmen working together to make each other richer.

Sadly, the Academy Award-nominated actor — like many others — doesn’t know of any solutions to the problem, stating, “The sad fact is no one knows how to change it, because no one knows how to take on the corporations. So I guess we’re stuck with this system until the oil runs out.”

You really have to appreciate Harrelson’s candidness regarding his controversial views on big government, given the industry he is in. Let’s hope than many of his peers follow in his footsteps and stand up against both censorship within their field and the tyranny of the current system of American government. Whether we agree with it or not, there’s no denying that movie stars are held in a high regard in this country — what they say truly matters to the American people — so having them speak out in support of truth and sanity is always welcomed.
