(Homesteading.news) Driven by consumer choice, the U.S. organic industry grew by 9.5 percent overall in 2011 to reach $31.5 billion in sales. This organic sector continues to show steady growth and has been for the past 15 years, according to the Organic Trade Association’s (OTA) web site. Why has the organic sector shown such steady growth in the last 15 years? Because the masses are quickly figuring out that bad food equates to disease, and organic food equates to healthy living.

Now consider this: “Have you ever noticed how the FDA has not approved a single herb or plant as a prevention or treatment for ANY disease, or sickness, or illness? Out of 37 THOUSAND eatable plants in the world, and medicinal herbs from China, India, South America, North America and Europe, of all these plants, not ONE of them has been approved by the FDA as a treatment for any disease or condition, not ONE.” Think I’m joking? Watch this all-telling video of Natural News editor Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, from a David Wolfe “Best Day Ever” conference:

Why do you think it’s illegal to grow a garden in your FRONT yard? Because people will see that you grow wholesome, healthy food and want to do the same. It’s free advertising! And if it’s organic, then it’s advertising the growing of food which doesn’t contain insecticides, herbicides, pesticides, GMO, and other life choking toxins. The cancer industry is a multi-billion dollar business, and the U.S. government does not want you to grow your own food, be self-reliant and healthy, and to understand the benefits of “Super” nutrition and “Superfood.” It’s true, you can legally beat cancer and stimulate your immune system by growing your own organic food; you just can’t advertise it.

Now that you know you CAN do it, HOW will you? Because whether or not you sell the food, trade it, barter, or just eat it yourself, you’re going to want to “grow it right,” inside and out. You could be selling “organic” food in three years.
First, there is a two year conversion process consisting of building up the fertility of the land. Produce grown in the first year cannot be stated as organic. In the second year, produce may be stated as being “in conversion.” And then, just like that, the third year that produce may be stated as fully organic. (//www.organic.org/home/faq)
So where do you start? What are the general considerations for starting conversion? Start slowly and plan ahead. It may take a few years for the soil to develop its full potential. During that time, you can gain experience with new crops, new techniques, and diverse rotation.

Experiment on a small scale first to reduce risk and adapt to changing conditions. Soil fertility and weed management are the two major challenges in converting, but efficient crop rotation can handle this. (//www.hobbyfarms.com)

Live to be 111 years young
Go on; what are you waiting for? Convert your land. Who knows, you may just live to be 111 years young and loving your life. You could be dancing around your own kitchen, juicing home grown organic veggies and fruits, with no hint of disease or disorder. This man living the “organic dream” in Arizona has done it: (//www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GIHGzzpADU). That’s right, when Bernando LaPallo of Mesa, Arizona tells his secrets of longevity and vitality, your jaw drops to the ground, wondering how he avoided all of the “ABC’s” of those “senior years” – you know, Alzheimer’s, brittle bones, cancer and diabetes.
Could it be that Western Medicine has it all wrong, and all we ever needed were organic, raw veggies, organic fruit, some Superfoods, organic, raw nuts and berries, and some barley soup? (//www.naturalnews.com)
