How easy is it to grow marijuana, and is it worth it?

Many people have taken to growing their own marijuana. The plant is not called weed for nothing – it does grow well and prolifically in almost any soil, but there are plant pests and mildew to think about, and like all gardens, it does require some time and attention to cultivate properly.

Growing marijuana is rewarding because changes are quick and the plants generally grow quickly and with little fuss. Nothing compares to growing your own garden at the best of times, nurturing your little plants and watching them bloom. Growing marijuana is no different.

However, getting the seeds to germinate is not all that easy and takes time and effort to get it right, as it does to nurture the marijuana plants to maturity. Too much moisture will cause mold, and growing marijuana outdoors successfully depends on the weather, humidity, heat, pest control and more.

Growing marijuana – resources to help

Friends and/or family who have grown marijuana in the past will always have useful information to impart but it can still be confusing to decide what strains to plant. Different strains require different space, different feeding cycles, different light, and some are hardier than others or bloom quicker. It’s best to keep it simple if you are a novice at growing marijuana.

An excellent resource for marijuana beginners is a free e-book entitled The Cannabis Grow Bible, which covers a range of topics and can help growers understand marijuana botany as well as help them with practical advice on growing techniques that can result in the best yields.

This grower’s resource describes how to choose seeds, growing factors, propagation, how to grow marijuana indoors and/or outdoors, security, PH control, nutrient control, hydroponics, harvesting and even how to make marijuana products after the plants have been harvested.
Weeds that Please is another great resource for marijuana growers, it explains where to get the necessary equipment as well as a large variety of different marijuana strains.

Marijuana growers will find a lot of pleasure in watching their crops grow steadily, not to mention being connected to the earth, enjoying its fruitage and benefiting from cheaper produce.  Additionally, home-grown marijuana can be enjoyed without worrying about dangerous chemicals and pesticides and growers can enjoy true food and medicine freedom!
