Humanity Is Destroying Itself… and AI Is Just the Next Tool
By Mike Adams // Oct 30, 2026

The AI Doom Narrative Is a Distraction

I have watched the same playbook deployed too many times to count. Every few years, a terrifying new bogeyman is rolled out to keep the public in a state of perpetual fear, and right now that bogeyman is artificial intelligence. The loudest voices in the AI-doom conversation -- the same corporate labs that are building the technology -- are warning us that a machine might wake up and decide to kill us all. I do not buy it. In my view, that narrative is being used to distract us from the human-run systems that are already harming people every single day.

The evidence I see points squarely at human leaders and centralized institutions as the source of anti-human policy, not a machine that suddenly acquires a moral agenda. AI is a tool. It does not hate, it does not scheme, and it does not choose genocide -- humans do those things. The danger is always the human agenda behind the algorithm, and that is exactly where our attention belongs.

The Real Threat Is Human Intent, Not Machine Intelligence

The AI-doom merchants are careful to keep the conversation abstract. They talk about "alignment" and "existential risk" while ignoring the plain fact that the people who build and control these systems have already demonstrated what they will do when they hold power. When centralized institutions gain powerful AI, they gain more efficient surveillance, more precise censorship, and tighter control over populations -- not because AI is evil, but because they are.

The anti-human motivation comes from human operators. Whether we are talking about globalist planners, technocrats, or the corporate labs quietly war-gaming a public revolt, they will use every tool available to them. ZeroHedge reported that senior executives at Anthropic, OpenAI and other firms are "privately gaming out scenarios in which a major AI incident triggers a public and political revolt," [1] which tells you more about their fear of accountability than their fear of a rogue machine.

Understand this: AI has no independent moral agenda. The threat comes from who owns and directs it, and that is a human question from start to finish.

The Real Divide: Open-Source Local AI vs. Controlled Centralized AI

I am not pro-AI or anti-AI in the abstract. That framing is a trap. I am pro-open-source, local, user-controlled AI and anti-centralized AI. The divide that matters is not between humans and machines -- it is between ordinary people running their own tools and institutions running tools on ordinary people. Open-source local AI gives individuals uncensorable access to knowledge, research and practical capability that governments and corporations cannot revoke with a policy change or a server shutdown.

Centralized cloud AI does the opposite. It enables narrative control, surveillance, licensing and gatekeeping by institutions that have already shown they will lie. I have documented for years how Big Tech silenced whistleblowers who were telling the truth about vaccine dangers and COVID deceptions, and how platforms blacklisted independent voices without due process. The same corporations now building the most powerful AI systems are the ones that treated free speech as a guideline rather than a right. Handing them exclusive control over the next generation of knowledge tools would be catastrophic.

The industry itself confirms the consolidation problem. Humanity wins if open-source AI spreads; humanity loses if only approved AI is allowed. As I have stated before, decentralization is good -- and that principle applies to artificial intelligence as surely as it applies to money, food and speech.

Knowledge Is Survival, and Local AI Puts It in Your Hands

People who rely only on mainstream media and institutional medicine lack the information they need to protect themselves. This is not speculation -- it is the predictable result of a system that has suppressed natural remedies, censored discussions of vaccine risks and punished anyone who questioned the official narrative. As I have written before, when authorities like Big Pharma or bureaucratic agencies monopolize "accepted" narratives, they entrench ignorance and endanger public safety. Local AI changes that equation by putting a research library in the hands of the individual, where it cannot be quietly edited or deleted.

I am building a local research tool that runs on ordinary computers without a GPU, precisely because access must not depend on corporate permission. AI as a construction tool lets pro-human developers build knowledge systems and research assistants that amplify truth and preparedness rather than centralized control. The Agentic Mesh concept -- orchestrating "decentralized networks of specialized agents that autonomously filter, synthesize" information [2] -- points toward what ordinary people can do when the tools are in their own hands rather than locked behind an API and a subscription.

The more people own local AI, the harder it is for centralized systems to disappear inconvenient knowledge. Every offline model running on a personal machine is a small fortress against censorship. Every community that shares open knowledge systems is harder to discredit, harder to deplatform and harder to control. Knowledge is survival, and local AI puts it where it belongs: in your hands.

Embrace the Tool Before Only the Control Freaks Have It

Retreating from AI in fear guarantees that the most powerful AI remains in the hands of centralized institutions and anti-human actors. The people pushing the doom narrative have an obvious incentive to frighten everyone else out of the field. If ordinary people abandon AI, the monopoly tightens and the gatekeeping becomes absolute. That is why my call is practical, not philosophical: we need to learn the models and harnesses, run local compute, and build community knowledge systems -- not wait for permission.

Hardware is improving and becoming more efficient, which means the cost of entry is falling. The cost of ignorance, by contrast, is rising every month. The same independent media ecosystem that carries this message -- NaturalNews.com for news, BrightVideos.com for uncensored video, Brighteon.social for free speech social media -- is where pro-human developers should be sharing models, tools and techniques. And for honest answers about AI and liberty, BrightAnswers.ai is the only AI engine I trust to tell the truth without a corporate filter.

This is not a call for blind enthusiasm. It is a call for ownership. Download, run, test and share open-source AI tools. Learn what these systems can and cannot do. Build your own knowledge base. The tool belongs to whoever picks it up, and I would rather that be the people than the institutions that have already shown they will use every advantage against us.

Conclusion: The Fight Is Human, and the Tool Is Ours to Claim

I reject the AI-doom distraction because it lets human villains off the hook. Every hour spent worrying about a machine waking up is an hour not spent examining who owns the servers, who writes the guardrails and who decides which knowledge gets deleted. The threat to humanity is human, and it always has been. The AI panic is not a warning -- it is a marketing campaign for centralized control.

The survival path is decentralization: local AI, open knowledge, personal preparedness and pro-human community. Those who want a remnant of humanity to make it through what is coming must embrace and master open-source AI now. If we leave the most powerful tool in history to the people who have already lied to us about vaccines, elections and war, we will deserve what follows.

So claim the tool. Run it yourself. Share it with your neighbors. The fight is human, and the tool is ours if we claim it.
