Cheng, 33, of Broadway in Astoria, faces charges from New York prosecutors that he sexually abused at least three patients at the highly prestigious New York-Presbyterian Queens hospital where he used to work. He also raped at least three additional women at his home in Queens, reports state.
Because he had access to drugs being a licensed physician and all, Cheng apparently swiped various drugs and used them to subdue the women before taking advantage of them. He also filmed many of these acts, the footage of which shows that most of the women being raped by Cheng were unconscious at the time.
The reason we say that Cheng sexually assaulted and raped at least six women is the fact that videos obtained by authorities would seem to show that there were more women who fell into the clutches of this alleged pervert, who faces 10 counts of predatory sexual assault; three counts of rape in the first degree; seven counts of sexual abuse in the first degree; four counts of assault in the second degree; three counts of criminal sexual act in the first degree; 11 counts of unlawful surveillance in the second degree; eight counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree; and four counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.

Should Cheng be convicted of these many crimes, he faces multiple 25 years to life sentences, meaning he will never again be allowed to roam free, let alone practice medicine.
In partnership with the New York-Presbyterian Queens hospital, the Queens District Attorney's Special Victims Bureau led the investigation that led to Cheng's charges. It was all prompted when one of Cheng's alleged victims informed police about his alleged predatory sexual abuse behavior.
"The recovered evidence compiled paints the picture of a sexual predator of the absolute worst kind, a serial rapist, someone willing to not only violate his sacred professional oath and patients' trust, but every standard of human decency as well," said District Attorney Melinda Katz in a statement.
"We will present the facts to a jury and achieve justice for the victims of the horrific assaults captured on video."
Last December, Cheng was indicted for allegedly drugging and raping a female acquaintance in his Queens apartment. At that time, he faced charges with two counts of rape in the first degree; criminal sexual act in the first degree; two counts of assault in the second degree; two counts of sexual abuse in the first degree; and four counts of unlawful surveillance in the second degree.
According to the latest indictment against Cheng, one of his alleged victims is a 19-year-old woman who was scheduled to undergo a test ordered by Cheng at the hospital around June 2021. Video footage shows that at the time this woman was in the "care" of Cheng, she had her gown open, her breasts exposed and her underwear lowered.
Cheng was then seen in the video inappropriately touching her as she laid unconscious on the table while having "no reaction to what is being done to her."
Cheng denies all such charges, even though many of them are based on video evidence showing him taking advantage of his victims.
